Nice apartment that could be improved with very little effort by the owner

The apartment was as advertised for the most part. It was on the top floor of the building, and offered a view from the two terraces on opposing sides of the unit. The bedrooms were fine, as was the kitchen and the main living/dining room. It's located within a relatively short walk from the parts of town that a tourist is likely to want to visit. We didn't need public transport or taxis to see what we wanted to see in Strasbourg.

My sad confession: I don't speak much (any) French. But the key to the apartment was being kept by a bartender at a restaurant to which I had no directions. I puzzled and bothered uninvolved shopkeepers (whose English was exactly as good as my non-existent French) until I stumbled upon the place where the key was secreted. This felt uncomfortably like a scavenger hunt when my family and I just wanted to get into the place we were staying. I had a rental car, and needed to park in a public garage near the apartment. The garage was fine, though the entrance is located off of something like an alley that's quite narrow. The directions to the garage, and from the garage to the apartment could have been more clear. Oddly, I suppose, my main complaint about this place (after the key experience) regards toilet paper. My wife, daughter and I spent 5 nights here. We were provided with 3 small rolls of toilet paper. This was grossly inadequate and seemed to evidence an exceedingly penny pinching sort of thought process by the owner. Instructions and location directions relevant to our stay were pretty limited. France apparently has a very low opinion about glass bottles. Glass may not be disposed with other household garbage, but must be taken to special locations scattered throughout French communities. This property provided limited instructions and no map as to where glass was to be disposed. I eventually managed to find the location - and it's not too far from the apartment - but in my country we don't treat glass this way, so I felt that this was an unwarranted and poorly explained imposition.

They don’t provide free toiletries, I had missed that while booking, so we were unprepared. Besides, there were 5 towels, we were 5 adults + 1 child. No towels for the child. There were not enough sheets for the person sleeping in the living room. I had to cover myself with the blanket on the couch, which probably everyone does :(

Perfect stay!

I liked everything. The apartment is comfortable, spacious, well equipped, clean. Simply lovely - every traveller's dream. Located centrally, parking easy, all useful shops around. Beds are extra comfortable. There is also a large sofa in the living room. In particular I liked the balconies on both sides of the apartment and modern design of the furniture. The host, Deborah, was very helpful.

Good Location, But We Would Not Stay Again

The location was very close to the Christmas markets and to the Tram. The building was secure. The keys were left with a small store across the Plaza. The bed was comfortable, and there were bedside reading lights. There was ample closet and storage space. For two people on a long trip, the second bedroom worked well to spread out our stuff. The shower had good temperature and water pressure. The kitchen was bare bones adequate. There is a K cup coffee machine. The hostess has a binder with helpful information. Starime taxi service (card in the binder) was so helpful getting us to the train station on time.

Communication with the hostess was difficult, as she suddenly switched to French and we had to struggle to translate all of her messages. The place was freezing! We arrived on a Monday early afternoon and all the heat was set at 2. It took until Wednesday morning for the place to heat up (it was very cold outside, 30’s F). Fortunately the heat in the shower room worked well with the door closed; also fortunately there was an extra down comforter. The toilet room has a small sink but no place for a towel or hand soap. There was no bath/shower gel - we had to purchase our own. There is so much light in the bedroom at night that it was difficult to sleep - the shades are not blackout. Overall, the place feels very spartan.

It can be a bit noisy on the weekend due to all the bars at place d’Austerlitz, but the great location makes up for it. It is just something to be aware of.

Superb

Very kind and friendly contact throughout our stay. The accommodation was very clean and we could feel how the Owner put love into the decoration to welcome his guests. Location is wonderful. Extremely central. Save Car Parking very easy reachable and only 2 min walk away. A perfect "Hide away" place in romantic Strasbourg. We will come back!

Strasbourg from a perfect angle

It is well placed near citycenter and Place d'Austerlitz (lots of cafes and bars). It is quiet, well kept, clean and spacious. Parking at 2 minutes (Austerlitz). It is fair priced. Host arranged the key pick-up. She was also very responsive and friendly during the earlier contacts.

Wonderful place to rest with a family and still be close to the things you need and want to see!

How close it was to food and other areas of interest/activity. Very comfortable! Love the breeze we got through the unit with the windows and doors open. Appreciated the extra fold-out bed!

Sending a picture of the front of the restaurant and apartment when arranging pick-up would be helpful in finding the rental. The adult contemporary art photo in the bedroom isn't very family/child friendly. Directions on how to run the washer would be helpful for those of us not from Europe and used to them.

Good

location

We paid over $500 for two nights, but there was no shampoo. Couldn’t that have been provided? We also received a strong text from the owner that, “You must leave at 9:30 a.m.” It would seem that there could be a more diplomatic approach. We also paid a €42.00 cleaning fee, but we’re told in no uncertain terms to take the trash out. We did, but we were wondering what the cleaning fee was for. The apartment was alright, but there seemed to be messaging issues. Oh well, pay up anyway.

Lovely choice for a visit to Strasbourg, whether for tourism or work

As I came to Strasbourg by car, it was nice for Déborah to be available via Whatsapp to keep her updated about my arrival and she was flexible enough to cater for delays on the road. Also, any questions were answered within hours (at most) via Whatsapp. The flat was spacious and had everything it needs to make you feel at home while away for work! I can also easily imagine e couple or a small family staying at Déborah's place for a private visit to town. Most people like to stay in the city centre, around the cathedral or Petite France. Krutenau, where this place is located, is my personal favourite, however. It's less touristy and yet walking distance from the tourist attractions. For people who are there for work, there's a bus (nr. 10 is a circular line going all around the city centre) AND a tram stop at a 2-3' walk from the front door.

Nothing major, just a minor downside, namely the radiator in the kitchen, which has water rattling through it day and night and can't seem to be turned on or off. I had to shut the door to the bedroom to be able to sleep or avoid waking up to the noise. It might also slightly bother guests who like to stay in for a TV night. Again, not a big deal. I'm rather sensitive to noise and it didn't bother me with the bedroom door closed. And Strasbourg is such a nice place I prefer to go out and walk about town anyhow :)

Great specious apartment in the city center

Apartment in the city center. Specious, with comfy bed in the main sleeping room (kids haven’t compalined, so I guess other beds were also ok :). Nice view! Internet connection was great. Parking place and supermarket are two minutes walk from the apartment.

We stayed for two nights and paide almost 40 EUR for parking…

Great location! It has a smart tv with hdmi cable( considering Covid restrictions, that was very useful), a bed for children, a well equipped kitchen, etc. We had a minor issue with the hair dryer, the host was very prompt with solving the problem. The parking is 2 minutes away

L'emplacement à 2 pas du centre. L'appartement est spacieux et bien amenagé. Les lits sont très confortable et la cuisine bien équipée. La facilité d'accès (parking souterrain à 3 min. à pied). Check in facile, nous avons reçu les instructions par message.

Il manquait quelques petits détails : une balayette, des sacs poubelle, une ampoule à la lampe de chevet. Le nettoyage du sol était moyen(morceaux de biscuits collés). Et nous n'avons pas réussi à faire fonctionner la télé. Un mode d'emploi serait utile.

Schön und zentral

Sehr gut gelegene Wohnung, fußläufig in die Altstadt, Platz mit Restaurant/Bar direkt gegenüber. Wohnung mit tollem Grundriss, hübsch eingerichtet.

Die Wohnung war kalt und die Vermieterin durch einen medizinischen Notfall nicht erreichbar. Am Abreisetag erfuhren wir, dass die Zentralheizung im Haus war wohl noch nicht eingeschaltet war. Das Klimagerät in der Wohnung heizte nicht.

Tolle Wohnung in Strasbourg: gemütlich, sinnvoll eingerichtet, klimatisiert und bestens betreut!

Die Lage der Wohnung ist hervorragend: In wenigen Gehminuten erreicht man die Altstadt, die Strassenbahn sowie diverse Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants. Der ganzen Familie hat die Wohnung sehr gut gefallen, auch mit sechs Personen hatten wir genügend Platz. Besonders angenehm war die Klimaanlage, gerade bei der sommerlichen Hitze. Der Kontakt mit der Gastgeberin war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich, alles war bestens organisiert. Bei einem nächsten Besuch in Strasbourg würden wir auf jeden Fall wieder bei dieser Gastgeberin buchen. Wir sind rundum zufrieden und glücklich über unseren kurzen Abstecher nach Strasbourg.

Fantastische lokatie, ideaal om de te stad te verkennen en winkels en supermarkt op een paar stappen. Heel licht appartement met een leuk uitzicht.

Als je er wil koken is het beschikbaar gerief iets te beperkt maar wij hebben er geen gebruik van gemaakt omdat er een overvloed aan leuke eetplekjes in de buurt is.

Emplacement idéal, mais appartement à revoir.

L’emplacement est très bon, pour pouvoir ensuite visiter à pied le centre ville. Surface agréable pour un séjour à 4.

L’appartement manquait vraiment de propreté et d’entretien : à notre arrivée, beaucoup de miettes dans le range-couverts et couverts sales, plusieurs grosses taches sur le canapé et ses coussins, peintures très griffées ou écaillées (voir photos). L’appartement ne devrait pas être référencé comme ayant un parking, puisqu’il n’en a pas (il y a un parking public payant, mais qui n’a aucun lien avec l’appartement). La télécommande (ou la télé ?) ne fonctionnait pas.

Super! Jederzeit wieder!!!

Sehr, sehr schöne großzügige Wohnung mit einer tollen Lage! Die Innenstadt/ Altstadt ist bequem zu Fuß zu erreichen. Sehr ruhiges Haus, ein Schlafzimmer zur Straßenseite, aber das hat uns nicht gestört. Die Wohnung ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und war sehr sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was man so benötigt. Die Schlüssel haben wir im gegenüberliegenden Café/Restaurantabgeholt - alles ganz unkompliziert. Die Gastgeberin haben wir nicht persönlich getroffen, aber sie war dennoch über Mail / Telefon ständig erreichbar und hat auch auf Anfrage auch sofort geantwortet. Es gibt nichts Negatives zu berichten; wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen! Vielen Dank an Deborah!!!

4 Nächte in Straßburg

Es ist eine schöne Ferienwohnung und man kann von ihr aus Straßburg sehr gut zu Fuß erkunden. Die Wohnung liegt im 5. Stock und ist gemütlich eingerichtet. In den Betten schläft man sehr gut. In der Nähe ist ein kleiner Supermarkt und fußläufig sind viele Restaurants. Wenn es warm ist, kann es passieren dass es etwas laut ist, da viele junge Leute die Restaurants in der Nähe besuchen.

Leider muss ich auch negatives berichten. Man kann nicht verlangen, dass das ganze Geschirr nach jedem Gast kontrolliert wird. Wenn man aber alle Teller rausnimmt und unten sind schmutzige Ränder im Schrank, dann ist das nicht so schön. Die Grundausstattung in der Küche mit Salz, Pfeffer, Öl ist sehr spärlich. Vermisst haben wir auch Flüssigseife im Bad und Toilette. Das ist eigentlich in den meisten Ferienwohnungen Standard. Eine Schlafzimmertür lässt sich gar nicht schließen. Das ist bei 4 Personen nicht so schön.

COMODISSIMA VACANZA IN 5 A STRASBURGO CENTRO

location a super ridosso del centro storico, comodissima al duomo ( il campanile si può ammirare da casa !! ) alle vie pedonali, alla fermata dei bateaux, con un carrefour city a 200mt. appartamento molto spazioso ( eravamo in 5 ), pulitissimo e super corredato. lo consiglio perchè ha un ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, e la padrona di casa ( che non abbiamo mai visto ma sentito al cell ) molto molto carina e disponibile per ogni evenienza. di fronte al palazzo piano terra c'è una birreria carinissima per la sosta serale post visite.

Se qualcuno cerca un palazzo chic in una via chic, quello non lo trovate. palazzo civile, non lussuoso. il parcheggio non c'è, ma molto vicino alla struttura ci sono diversi parcheggi molto comodi e con buone disponibilità.
