Quiet stay in a lovely house, convenient for travelling beautiful Gloucs and beyond

I was down doing some research for a few days in local churches, as I used to live nearby. It was in excellent distance of everywhere I needed, not too far from shops and the town centre, and had parking facilities. Really great price for three nights, in the midst of winter but still comparatively cheaper than many other places. I got a bath as I requested and, though most guesthouses don't have cooking facilities, the reception room has a microwave, fridge and cutlery, so longer stays mean you wouldn't have to eat out every night. A lovely welcome, though I was running really late from the North East and nowhere to stop and message on the motorway, so just about caught the host! I didn't get to meet the lovely wolf dogs, maybe next time!

Nice location, friendly hosts and clean comfortable rooms. Reasonably priced for the area.

Meet by the host, who took us to our rooms. We had booked the two bedroom suite. Found the rooms warm and comfortable. As we were attending a wedding nearby, the location was ideal. Found the hosts friendly, chatty and accommodating. Would have liked to stay longer, as we didn’t really see much of the scenery and spend more time exploring Nailsworth and Stroud. Would recommend this B&B for the location and price.

Nice, affordable, comfortable stay

There was an overall good vibe in the house. The bed was comfortable and warm. The room is very spacious, the host is very nice and her dogs are beautiful!

Liquid soap in the bathroom (but that is a preference. I bought a bar and was sorted). The gates and lock for the parking spaces behind the house took time to unlock, open and then close and lock, which if you're on your own and it's pouring down, is less than desirable.

Room in need of some TLC. Toilet not flushing properly. Room not cleaned, bins emptied or used teabags taken in 3 days I was there.

Good value for a short stay on the outskirts of Stroud.

Emillie was so kind and helpful, nothing too much trouble. We arrived after dark and were not sure where to park. I rang the doorbell and she came out and guided us to the car park at the back of the property. It is gated and padlocked. The room was spacious, clean and the bed comfortable and we slept well. Good shower in the bathroom. Emillie provided us with fresh milk to use in our hot drinks, much appreciated.

Our room on the second floor was accessed by a staircase which was a little difficult when carrying cases. We could not get the TV to work but this was not a major problem. The Car Park behind the property was on a lane without any lighting, had to use our phones to open the padlock.

Emilie was so helpful and kindly lent me an umbrella as I had a wedding to go to and the weather was poor. She explained everything really well, got me a car space and was very welcoming

Perfectly adequate for a couple of nights stay.

Very welcoming on arrival after thinking it was almost derelict, but an old building in need of some repair. Room was clean and comfortable. Perfectly adequate for a budget stay in the area.

The building is obviously in need of some TLC I thought on my arrival that the property was no longer functioning. Very tired and a damp smell about the place.

Helpful host. Comfortable room with an en suite. I like that there is a kettle in the room. Secure parking available and a central point to be located to places of interest, which aren’t too far to drive either way. There’s some nice walks on the doorstep too. The two resident dogs are lovely. All in all, I had a good stay. I do recommend staying here.

Bed preferences are very personal and not everyone likes the same thing. It’s not right or wrong, but for me, the bed was too hard and so were the pillows, so not very comfortable for me personally.

Comfortable, warm - fab sleep!

I liked the warm atmosphere and ambience. Owners are welcoming, and accommodating. The bed was really comfortable and I had 3 nights of well earned rest after working 12 hour days. All the facilities I used worked with no hitches and it was above all peaceful. Brilliant location for me and a great location to see the nearby towns or staying, like me, for work reasons. Overall will defintely recommend and use again for either business or pleasure.

Lovely location with very friendly hosts. This property fitted my needs perfectly. Really felt welcomed, and had the added bonus of meeting 2 beautiful dogs!

The only downside was the WiFi was very patchy and I was unable to catch up on my paperwork. Not a major issue though.

A good location for Stroud and the Cotswolds

Breakfast is not provided at this location, however there is a kitchen open to all for self cooking. However it felt uncomfortable as you had to pass through the owners sitting room to access it ! Parking is safe in this quiet location as there are guard dogs present

The location was perfect for our trip, the hosts were brilliant and very friendly, they were very helpful. Spent about 3 hours talking to them in the kitchen whilst having a beer. I would stay here again the place is great.
