Balmoral Skye was heaven for us, the stay made our dreamy trip to Scotland even more exceptional. The location was beautiful, 10 mins away from the city, takes u closer to the nature. It is exactly as it is shown in the pictures or even more beautiful. We entered this cozy cottage & were mesmerized by the endless loch view and sheeps nearby and we have never witnessed the moon so closer. It was calming & peaceful. U enter into your rooms and u see your name on the door and breakfast gesture from the hosts-perfect warm welcome. The heater worked well, that was a cozy room with loch view through a small window, comfortable bed & pillows and seating. Extreme cleanness maintained, clean towels, good quality moisturizer & other supplies. The bathroom smelled good. There were books to read, binoculars, good lighting. Even the smallest details were looked well by the host Janice & Rudy. Very warm & friendly couple, guided us to the place even before we reached and throughout and we had little chat about our countries as well. We wished as a couple to stay a little longer, hoping for sure that we would do the next time we visit! I can understand that people travelling from different countries could be suspicious of new locations to stay but as per my experience this was perfect and i am sure anyone would be leaving wanting more time! Thank you Janice & Rudy for creating a serene stay for vacationers like us who come to enjoy your country.

Quiet location out of Portree township made for a really relaxing time. The property owner is very welcoming and provided breakfast for us each morning. Also made up our room each day, which was really kind of her.
Can’t think of anything we didn’t like. It was a very relaxing room with an amazing ocean view.

Balmoral Skye was a delightful place to stay. The rooms were were well organised with many unexpected and appreciated little details. We loved being in a rural location and having space to explore. We even saw a friendly seal. Loved chatting with our host too and saying hello to the cats.
