If you Incooperate a microwave in the rooms it will be really amazing.

The quiet setting with wildlife and peaceful restful countryside was great and measured up to our hopes. The welcome from Innes was warm and he showed the chalet and all it's function then left us to enjoy the peace. Sitting on the verandah and watching the sun set was beautiful. The area has good walks and a very pleasant local pub. Our chalet was the only one occupied so it was idyllic. The towels, bedding etc smelt fresh and the main chalet and bathroom were clean.

However the property had some shortcomings many of which would cost a handful of money to rectify. The kitchenette is probably too basic. One gas ring, a cooler box and a kettle isn't a kitchen. There was nowhere to wash up except a small unit some 50 metres away with cold water, a dirty sink with no plug and no washing up liquid. That would not be expensive to change. The bed or rather the mattress was uncomfortable, the springs being close to the surface. All in all it had a end of season tired look to the place when it could be so much better with TLC and a small outlay.

We loved being surrounded by nature, with plenty of wood provided for both the indoor and outdoor fires. The setting was beautiful, peaceful, and incredibly relaxing. The hosts were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and thoughtful, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. We stayed with our young baby and were delighted to receive fresh local milk and homemade scones, which were absolutely delicious. We especially enjoyed spending our evenings by the fire. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and we would highly recommend it.

There was no fridge available, but the cool box provided worked well for our needs. Overall, the accommodation has more of a glamping/camping feel, so amenities such as a fridge and mains electricity are part of the rustic experience rather than standard features.

Compost toilet! Very awkward to have inside the living space. Makes cabin feel dirty.
