We stayed two nights. Overall a very pleasant experience.

We stayed in Pulheim while gamescom and mainly used it for sleeping and chilling in the evening. The resident was clean and large for us. We visited as four people and two of us slept on the couch.
The only bad thing was the bus and train connection. The train had always 10 - 20 minutes delay, if it wasn't canceled, because of an building site. Hopefully it was just a temporary problem

Check-in was super easy. Our host Tom left the key in the door and provided instructions via email a few days before. Apartment was large and comfortable, with nice amenities like a washing machine and a pair of bicycles for exploring nearby parks. A five-minute drive to the train station, free parking at P&R Parking Garage, 15 min. to Cologne by train for 4.20 euro. Super host, highly recommend!
