Surreal ocean front view and breezes at Hali'i Kai at Waikoloa Beach Resort

We stayed a week here, and the property exceeded our expectations. The first floor condo fronts on a golf course and has a full ocean view. It faces west so you can enjoy sunsets from the lanai. It was very beautiful. We even saw whales. There is a private club, bar and restaurant which is also a great place to take-in the sunset. The food was good and we enjoyed dinner there on two nights during our stay. The staff was pleasant and attentive. The property is located in the Waikaloa resort area near shopping and restaurants. It's also a few minutes drive to many stunning beaches. There is a closet with an assortment of chairs, umbrella, snorkel, boogie boards, and other beach toys to use which was really awesome. The host reached out to us a couple of times during the week to make sure everything was going OK - they were very responsive and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to friends.

We had a great stay at this Waikoloa condo. The whole complex has everything you could ask for, beautiful grassy area that blends in with the golf course where people spill out onto for sunset. Wonderful pool with convenient bar/restaurant and even workout room right on shore. It is great being in a unit so close to the pool etc. Spacious modern 2 bedroom stocked with anything you'd need.

Condo is very nice. Great views and location. Only complaints are no garbage disposal and recycling is disaster. It is always full and not place to go with cardboard and plastic.

Hali i kai is a fabulous location on waikoloa beach. This unit had nice ocean view, stunning pool and workout facility view. Well stocked, clean, lots of pool toys. Nice beds, linens and plenty of towels available. We made the comment on its cleanliness which it was but being in a tropical environment, we had a few cockroaches here and there. The place is starting to show some maintenance needs such as magnets on shower doors missing and window seals broken to the point of looking through to a beautiful setting through foggy glass windows and doors. Not a big issue and I am sure the owners will follow through. Overall will come back to this complex.

We love this community for relaxing holidays. This unit was very nice with great views and close to the pool. The property manager was a pleasure to work with, exceptionally attentive and responsive.

Perfect location with gorgeous views.

We loved our stay in this unit. The complex is quiet and the location is great! The ground floor unit allowed our daughter to run around outside as needed. The property manager’s responsive and effective communication was very much appreciated. The only knock on this place is the community pool and restaurant rules: no balls in the pool, no outside food/drinks, etc. But once we got past that issue, we had an amazing stay!

We were called early to say our condo was ready. The condo and its furnishings were lovely. Nice linens- good appliances. It took a little know-how to figure out the TV in the bedroom, but finally did. Washer and Dryer worked great along with the air conditioner. Would have liked a couple of beach chairs to use for the beach, but not a big deal.

I did a lot of research prior to booking and finally landed on 11C at Hali'i Kai - boy am I glad I did! It was our first trip to the big island so we didn't know what to expect. The condo was beautiful! Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was perhaps the most well stocked of any rental we've ever stayed! Location was perfect, a minute or two walk to the pool and fitness center! We were a 15 minute walk, or several minute drive to Kings and Queens markets. We also opted to drive to Waikaloa beach one day (public beach about a 5 minute drive) - it was gorgeous, with snorkeling, restaurants (lava lava mai tais were GREAT pours), and tons of shoreline. We saw whales, swam with some turtles, and relaxed in the sand! We ate in most nights... used the BBQ and hung out in the gorgeous lanai with our friendly neighborhood geckos! We worked out daily at the fitness center, it had everything you need for a full workout! We will definitely be back to 11C!

Hali'i Kai has always been an area we have enjoyed staying at and this time was no different. The unit was close to the beach and pool area and well appointed. The sunset from the lanai is breathtaking. Our only wish would have been for some beach chairs. We can't wait to come back again.

We were part of a group of which all were staying in diff units. All of us loved the complex and ea individual units. I loved the location of ours because the convenient access out the slider to the spacious lawn and gorgeous view....Definitely let us let the outside in. It seemed to have something for everyone. bedrooms plenty big....as well as the bathrooms. All up to date decor and the kitchen was fully stocked with any small appliance you may be looking for....and....not the cheap stuff. All glassware and dishware very nice, We love not having to eat out all the time so cooking for even more than the two of us was a breeze. Having the washer and dryer room, big bonus... The outdoor patio was pretty much where we lived while relaxing, and also the Weber BBQ was a nice bonus. Aside from the details of the unit, it was located a very short walk to the Ocean Club Pool/Restaurant/ small state of the art view open air work out room (all glass walls providing panoramic ocean views. And last but not least....it's on the golf course but not so close that you have golfers in your space.... our concierge was great and provided very clear instructions of how to do pretty much everything. She was very responsive before and during our stay. We will definitely come again Thank you

Everything about this place was perfect. This is one of the few places I have rented from various sites where the place actually looked like the pictures on the listing. Plus, the view at sunset was unbelievable.

We loved our stay at in Halli Kai 11C! The whole resort was very nice. We thoroughly enjoyed all the beautiful views from our Lanai and the condo was very comfortable. It was so nice having the pool, pool bar and restaurant just steps from our condo with many delicious items to choose from. The views from the pool were spectacular!

Really enjoyed our stay at Hali i Kai. The unit was very comfortable an well equipped for our family of 4. The location within the resort is one of the best buildings in regards to view of ocean, access to pool and view golf course. Having the private dining at the pool club was a great value and super convenient as we were having a hard time finding restaurant reservations outside the resort. Super responsive, professional manager Michaela was a great help too. Would definitley stay here again.

We had a WONDERFUL month here in this unit. So comfortable with everything we needed for an incredible stay. The view from the lanai with our coffee each morning was wonderful. Grilling , dinner and sunsets on the lanai were a frequent occasion!! The close proximity to the ocean and the pool with food and full bar was so convenient , we really enjoyed spending a little down time there. Allyson the property manager was incredible to work with, she is so friendly , accommodating , and generous ! She really was the cherry on top of this awesome sundae!! We will be back! Thank you!!

Our stay was great, the property and complex is wonderful. The only recommendation we would have is to update the carpets.

We loved our time at this condo and especially loved the gorgeous sunset views from the lanai. We didn’t even want to eat out as we didn’t want to miss a sunset from the condo. The condo was very lovely and comfortable and clean. The proximity to the pool is great as well. Our only issue was trying to find chaise lounges at the pool! So many people for the amount of chairs. Last time we had stayed at this condo complex it had not been an issue but this time it was challenging. Thankfully the lanai furniture at the condo was so comfortable that we were happy to hang out there and enjoy our lovely view! Would highly recommend!!

This was a perfect location with the best view we’ve ever had. We had planned on eating out more, but with a great barbecue on the patio, and local markets well stocked with delicious seafood and steaks, we enjoyed the patio almost every evening, while watching the beautiful sunset. The condo was very well equipped with everything we needed. And the property manager was committed to making our 11 day stay complete.

My family and I stayed here for a week. We had so many options and amenities at the resort. From the ease of check in and finding the property to the wonderful staff at the pool which is a 2 minute walk, it made the stay that much more comfortable. The beds were very comfortable and the inside was super clean and no pests. Anyone who has ever visited Hawaii knows you have bugs everywhere. But not in this property. If we visit the big island again we’d definitely stay here in the future.

I cannot say enough good things about our stay in this unit at Hali i Kai. First the unit: exactly as pictured; super clean and comfortable. First thing I noticed was the welcome basket - the nicest I've ever received from a host on VRBO: bottle of wine, kona coffee, local treast and a binder filled with helpful suggestions. It truly set the tone for our vacation. The beds were extremely comfortable; the kitchen was perfectly stocked. It felt like being at home (except much better, because we were in Hawaii :). The owner Allyson is extremely friendly and responsive. I had a question - she texted me back immediately. Can't ask for more than that! Next the property: it is situated near the massive Hilton in Waikola. We contemplated staying there because we have kids (ages 11 and 14) and the pool looked fun for them. We went there for the dolphon encounter and I was so glad we chose Hali i Kai, as the Hilton pool was very crowded with loud music, spring break type atmosphere. If that's your thing, you'll love it. That's not my thing (not anymore anyway). Unlike the Hilton, this place is so peaceful. The pool is relaxing - it's only 3-4 feet deep but the water is warm and the view of the ocean is stellar. The place is magical. Each night everyone gathers with a cocktail to watch the sunset, celebrated by the blowing of the conch shell. The food at the restaurant is great - wonderful selection and super tasty (I became addicted to the tofu curry and my son was obsessed with the nachos). The cocktails were also superb; service was friendly and swift. We spent more time here than expected because food choices in this area were limitd (reservations, long wait times, expensive, limited choice, etc. As an aside, best bet is Emma's Kitchen in Waikola Village for yummy cheap take-out). We absolutely fell in love with the Big Island and I believe part of that experience was our stay at this property. I hate to overuse the word "magical" but that's exactly how it felt. The complex felt luxurious without pretension; the unit truly was a home away from home. We are already talking about a return trip next summer - something I never considered before our trip. If you want to feel relaxed and somewhat pampered, I highly recommend this property.

We had a hard time find the property and maps does not take you to the correct address. Once we found it we were very pleased with home, location and comfortable furnishings! Allyson was very responsive!

I spent 5 weeks in Hali'i Kai 11C working remotely. The unit was amazing with everything you'd need for a short or long stay. For working remotely, I especially appreciated the high speed internet that worked on the lanai with amazing ocean views. The condo was in great condition and was very clean and quiet. Allyson was a the perfect host - very responsive and helpful.

My family and I greatly enjoyed our second visit to Hali'i Kai. The grounds are beautiful and so peaceful. The condo was very comfortable with all the amenities to cook every meal from the place. Allison, the property manager was so kind and available to answer any questions.
