A beautifully restored old house with exceptional hosts, calm and peaceful in total comfort.

From the moment I arrived, I was given a very warm welcome and information about the local area. Nothing was too much trouble and they kindly made a restaurant reservation for me, having asked what sort of food and restaurant I would prefer (and turned out to be an excellent recommendation). The pool and grounds were very relaxing and the room very comfortable, tastefully renovated to retain its character and charm but with all the modern conveniences you could want. A really exceptional place to stay and I only wished I could have stayed longer. Thank you so much for making me so welcome and sharing a piece of Lucca.

A beautiful hotel with great facilities and kind hosts

We loved everything about our stay at Villa La Preziosa. A really beautiful hotel which is so well looked after, with beautiful gardens. The family who run it are so welcoming and helpful, and their staff are also so friendly. It’s very clean and rooms are comfortable. A great location close to the centre of Lucca.

Caring and helpful

The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. They cared about our experience, and were helpful giving suggestions for things to do and making dinner suggestions and reservations. The rooms, property and breakfast had everything we could have wanted, and we felt like part of the family. They suggested visiting Villa Reale, Napolean's sister's palace, which was very beautiful.

The only thing I could have asked for is an extra pillow. Lucca was not my favorite city, but the hosts gave us great suggestions of other things to do and see outside of the city, which helped to make our stay wonderful.

Wonderful stay and highly recommend!

From the moment we arrived we were welcomed as though we were family. The people and their hospitality were wonderful! They were very accommodating and helpful with recommendations. We used the property as our ideal location for day trips to Sienna, into the old city of Lucca, as well as the surrounding area.

A wonderfully relaxing venue in a gorgeous setting

Such an amazing property, just outside of Lucca. You need a car but you can also rent bikes (at a cost) and cycle into Lucca in 10 minutes. The staff are amazing, they have a wonderful property and couldn’t do enough for us. Great food. Sissy the dog was a highlight!

We had a truly wonderful stay at Villa La Preziosa. The property is absolutely charming – peaceful gardens, elegant historic interiors, and an atmosphere that made us feel like we were in another world. Our room was spacious, clean, and beautifully furnished. One of the highlights was breakfast in the garden – fresh, delicious, and served with great care. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and professional throughout our stay. We truly appreciated the warm and personal approach. I’m especially grateful for the lovely birthday surprise – a beautiful cake and heartfelt wishes from the staff. It was such a kind gesture and made my day even more special. The location is perfect – just a short drive from the historic center of Lucca, yet calm and surrounded by nature. We highly recommend Villa La Preziosa to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable experience in Tuscany. We’d love to come back one day!

A fabulous family owned and run residence and would highly recommend it.

Our host Barbara made our stay very enjoyable. Amazing lady, Kind and helpful as were Gunter and Julian. A Beautiful building and outdoor seating area very relaxing and well presented. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the only hotel we stayed in with Netflix as an option. Breakfast excellent both presentation and quality. Great location for Lucca.

We were disappointed the pool and loungers weren’t available as the weather was superb for afternoon outdoor relaxing however we understand the owners situation with time required to refurbish the pool being very necessary.

Italy Tour

Thank you Barbara and Gunther for your warm welcome and hospitality. On arrival we were greeted with a glass of champagne and we were offered an upgrade on our already beautiful room to a more beautiful and spacious room. Villa La Preziosa is a gorgeous Villa with a big pretty garden. The attention to detail through out the Villa will always be remembered. I would recommend Villa La Preziosa for a stay in Lucca. Hope to back soon

Overall I loved my stay there!

Beautiful inside and out….especially the outdoor patios and gardens. Great Bicycles. Barbara and Gunther the owners and their daughter and son go above and beyond to make your stay exceptional and like your part of their family.

It could of been cooler in my room. The Bathroom could use a magnifying makeup mirror, shampoo and conditioner. And a spot to put ur toiletries in the bathroom.

Idyllic hotel close to Lucca

I booked this for my parents for a wedding anniversary trip and it couldn’t of been better! The hotel is stunning, the rooms gorgeous and spacious, the pool and grounds are immaculate and the breakfast was amazing. The welcome addition of bikes and a cute dog was the icing on the cake! The team couldn’t do enough for my parents and they didn’t want to leave, they’re already talking about coming back.

Personally and efficiently run home from home.

This is a family run operation and it shows in the warmth of the welcome you receive and attention to your comfort. The garden and pool area were relaxing and you could have drinks and light meals served when requested. Our host, Barbara, made excellent recommendations for local restaurants. We chose a location that was outside the city walls to ensure it was a quiet area and it is!

This is a personal choice that is hard to please everyone. We prefer a firm mattress and ours were a bit softer than we like but still managed to sleep “like a baby”

A great place to discover Lucca and Pisa

A beautiful house a few minutes away from Lucca. Barbara and her family were really welcoming and they made everything possible to make our stay nice. The Royal Suite is really fantastic (thanks for the upgrade). It’s a privilege to discover Tuscany from an ancient house (1712), beautifully refurbished and decorated. Really quiet, great breakfast.

Highly recommend this boutique hotel!

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. The owners went out of their way to make our stay special. The rooms are lovely with comfortable beds and beautifully decorated. The gardens are so pretty and we enjoyed relaxing by the pool under the umbrellas or in a shaded spot. We enjoyed our breakfast in the garden every morning under the arbor which included a wide selection of foods from their buffet as well as a cooked breakfast. Would definitely stay again if we returned to this area.

Since it is located outside Lucca we needed a taxi to get into town and to the wedding we were attending. Taxi’s are quite difficult to find in this area.

Lovely villa with the kindest hosts

We loved eveything! Very kind hosts upgraded us to an even bigger room as it was our honeymoon. They gave us lovely tips about Lucca, Pisa, Florence . Wonderful garden, comfortable bed, very good breakfast with everything you can think of! Would go back again without a doubt!

To say that we liked the property is to say nothing. We LOVED it. Owned by the beautiful family this place is very well run and managed. Everyone in the family is involved in making guests happy and enjoy their stay. It does feel they put their hearts into creating beautiful and cozy atmosphere. The rooms were super clean and beds were comfortable. We regretted we stayed only for one night here. Barbara, the owner, provided lots of info on where to do for sightseeing. Private villa Reale was the best highlight of our trip. Thank you thank you thank you

Exceptional

Our expectations were high based on the reviews we saw before making our reservation but they were blown up in the brief time we spent at Villa La Preziosa. The room had all we needed and the central cooling system created the optimal temperature without the noise that AC units make. The hosts were amazing, making a great time spent there even better. I only wish we'd spend more time here, but we will definitely come back.

I can’t recommend this property enough! The owners were so kind, welcoming, and accommodating to us. We had a fantastic stay and really enjoyed using the bikes they had to explore. It’s about a 10 min bike into the city center. Although it is far from the train station, it was totally worth making the journey for the amazing hospitality and gorgeous property.

Peaceful, beautiful, perfect

We loved everything about Villa La Preziosa. Our experience could not have been better. The beautiful family running the property were very kind and made sure we had everything we needed down to the smallest detail. The rooms were beautiful and perfectly appointed. The food was amazing and the grounds were beautiful. It was a 2 mile walk to the town of Lucca, doable, if you have a car it is better. This was the last stop of our two weeks in Italy and after the hustle and bustle of Rome and Florence it was a peaceful end to our amazing trip.

The hosts were lovely and they take pride in their villa- the put a lot of work into transforming it and it is indeed special. They were always available and invested in their guests. I loved my room, so spacious and comfortable (the bed and bedding too!) Breakfast in the garden was my favorite.

Stunning villa just outside Lucca.

The villa has been beautifully restored by its current owners. Bedrooms and gardens are stunning with a lot of attention to detail. We particularly enjoyed sitting outside in the evening and the owners put candles on all the tables and brought us local wine and nibbles! The delicious breakfast was a buffet of cold meats, cheeses, pastries and fruit with a choice of cooked eggs. Recommend hiring bikes from owners at £18 per day and exploring along the river and stately home lived in by Napoleon’s sister. We also took a train to Pisa for a day (7 euros) and that was extremely easy.

Ideally you need a car as we spent a fair bit on taxis to and from Lucca (£15 each way). We hired bikes from the property at £18 per day. It was perfect for a few days’ stay.

The breakfast was amazing. The hosts went out of their way to make sure you had a great time. The villa is remote and quiet. The room itself was extremely comfortable and everything around the villa feels new and premium. Great pool area, easy parking on the premises.

We enjoyed everything about Villa La Preziosa! A wonderful boutique hotel just outside of Lucca. Beautiful grounds, very comfortable rooms. Excellent eye to detail in every aspect of the hotel and grounds. The grounds are a labour of love! Very attentive staff made us feel very at home! Highly recommended!!
