A pint of milk could have been left for a cup of tea on arrival especially after a long journey to get there. The batteries in the remote for the tv didn't work i had to replace them.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Hideaway in Portaferry! It was the perfect cozy escape for two, and we can’t recommend it enough. The place is lovely and private, with its own hot tub that made our stay extra special. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we loved waking up to those gorgeous views over the fields. It’s such a peaceful spot, and being able to bring our dog along was a huge plus. Everything we needed for a comfortable, relaxing stay was right there. We truly enjoyed every moment and would love to return. Five stars all the way!

A few disappointments ...

Great location. Hot tub was lovely although had to work out how to use it ourselves (it mentions in welcome pack that someone will come and explain everything but we saw no one). Thankfully this wasn't a complicated task.

No communication with owner and no one on arrival. A few cleaning issues need to be addressed - toilet brush was dirty. Several comments in guestbook mentioned lovely granola but nothing was left for us. Perhaps as it was a one-night stay? Also no shower gel or shampoo provided.

Loved the setting. It was quiet and tranquil! I came here with a friend for a night off from being a parent and it was absolutely fantastic. The hosts were close by if we needed anything and it was just lovely. Local take out catered for us and I have to say it was the nicest Chinese I’ve had. The garden view was spectacular.

We recently stayed at the hideaway. This was our second stay and everything was lovely.

very nice and spacious cabin. ideal for a couple getaway. There is everything you need , we also liked the idea of portable hob so that we could cook and we didn’t have to eat out. not too many places have hob available. the hot tub was amazing.

when we arrived it was a bit cold but it heated up very quickly when we turned the heating on.
