Lovely hosts, great for families

Very clean, Bernie and Frank were very welcoming and helpful with any queries we had. Blinds in the bedrooms kept the rooms dark and kitchen was very well equipped. Bottle of red and white wine on arrival as well as breakfast essentials were much appreciated!

Superb very clean and well equipped bungalow perfectly placed to explore all areas surrounding the Mournes! (our third year staying here) Friendly and very kind hosts Bernie and Frank make for a very special stay especially with a gift of Bernie’s fresh homemade wheaten bread!! We cannot wait to return next year!!😊

It is the perfect place to stay! Everything was fantastic, from the warm welcome to the friendly goodbye. The cottage had everything we needed and was super comfortable. The welcome pack, including milk, chocolate, biscuits and crisps was very much appreciated. Exceptional value for money. Thank you for the perfect stay.

Best place to stay in Kilkeel

I’ve stayed in a few properties in Kilkeel and the towns close but this was by far the best property I’ve stayed in. The house was spotless clean, it had everything we needed and more. Bernie was brilliant with responding to any texts and the check in was very straight forward, Patrick was also very helpful and welcoming. If you need somewhere to stay in this area, I would highly recommend!

Honestly the best place I have ever stayed at while on vacation.

I loved everything about the property. The owners were so friendly and helpful in our quest to locate our ancestry. My only disappointment was that I didn’t stay longer. I would definitely go back.

Seriously….nothing! I’m not just saying this, the property is beautiful and well kept, the owners are friendly and caring. It is well situated for sightseeing and restaurants.

This was the nicest place we have stayed yet! Beats any hotels we have stayed in it’s like home, the hosts left some snack and milk for us to get us started you wouldn’t get it nowhere.

Was superb place to stay in and in a good location for places to visit in scenic areas

I found the bed I slept in to be very comfortable and slept very well each night. Having chocolate treats was a bonus plus 2L of milk was very useful as well!!

We wouldn’t stay anywhere else, the bungalow is spotless clean and the perfect location for us. Love the little welcome pack that is left for us, milk, tea, coffee, biscuits and crisps! Perfect when you’ve been traveling all day.

A lovely, well-equipped bungalow

The owners lives right next to bungalow...actually the bungalow is at the backyard of their site. They were very friendly and came in 5 mins whenever we needed something. They were also very hospitable; left us some chocolate, chips, apples, milk, coffee, tea, etc. The interior decoration of the bungalow was absolutely lovely. It was also well-equipped; the kitchen had everything we could expect. There was a smart tv, good wifi, etc. Also there was a great supermarket in 3 mins drive the owner recommended us. We just loved to stayed here!

Basically nothing. If I have to write anything, then it's maybe the heating. It has a strong heating with radiators in every room, and if you turn it on the apartment warms up quickly, but then then you turn it off as it's too warm...then turn it on again in a few hours when you feel cold...we had to play with it, but it wasn't a big deal. So, very very recommended!

Brilliant!

Brilliant location, close to the town and a shop very nearby. The property was lovely, very comfortable and had everything we needed and more! There was snacks, milk and much more on arrival and the wonderful hosts of the property also very kindly brought us round some freshly made bread one morning, it was delicious! We will definitely be returning again.

The bungalow is very nice and comfortable, perfect for a couple or a family. Bernie and Frank left us a lot of snacks, and were available for recommendations and other tips. The location is perfect for a hiking trip in the Mourne Mountains.

Fantastic quiet and comfortable house.

Location was great. View of Slieve Donard from the driveway. House was very comfortable and a prefect place for my family. A good selection of food, snacks and food left in the property. Was clean and comfy. Hosts live just next door and were very accomodating for our late arrival after our bags went missing.

a lovely bungalow that’s very clean, well equipped, comfortable and have the perfect hosts living next door.

The location is easy to find and on arrival was met by Frank who showed us around the beautiful, well equipped and very clean bungalow. The bungalow has everything you need for a perfect stay and Frank and Bernie are the perfect hosts even bringing us homemade bread and because they were having a BBQ some burgers. although the bungalow is next to the main property you have your own garden and seating area which we enjoyed as it was on that Hot weekend. We would absolutely recommend staying in this property if you are in the area and a good base for the Mourne Mountains. Cannot thank Frank & Bernie enough for making this a great stay, would definitely book again if visiting the area. it was a shame we had to cancel the last night as our flight was cancelled and we had to rearrange but our hosts were very flexible.

My family and I arrived a bit late. When we arrived Bernie had some treats for us on the table. The house was spotless with amazing views of the Mourne moutains. The faculties were very good also had netflix on tv. Overall was very pleased with our visit. Thanks again Bernie.

A warm, comfortable place from which to enjoy the stunning Mourne Mountains.

This bungalow had plenty of room for me and my grown up son to do our own things if we wanted. The space is large with a separate kitchen with table for four. The heating and hot water were great and everything worked well.
