Maple Heart Ranch

Loved the rustic charm,visiting the animals and walking around the roads. Especially liked watching the chickens while on the porch drinking morning coffee. The breakfast was delicious! Fresh made baked buns and croissants, with cheeses, juice, home made berry jam, fresh butter and fresh milk.

Could not find the coffee machine but we brought instant coffee and really good, hot coffee was supplied the second morning.

The rustic cabin was everything I hoped for—cozy, charming, and blissfully free from the constant buzz of technology. Instead of scrolling, we spent our time sitting in the quiet forest, actually talking to each other (remember that?), laughing until our cheeks hurt, and soaking in the kind of peace you forget exists. One of my favourite memories was sitting on the covered porch as the moon climbed over the trees. No traffic, no notifications, no rush—just a spectacular view, fresh air, and hours of swapping stories with friends. It felt like the world had hit the pause button. Then came breakfast... and wow. It instantly took me back to my backpacking days through Europe. Freshly cooked eggs, warm buttery croissants, a beautiful cheese plate, fresh jam, orange juice, and fresh milk—all thoughtfully prepared and absolutely delicious. It wasn't just breakfast; it was part of the experience. Maple Heart Ranch isn't about luxury in the flashy sense—it's about the luxury of slowing down. Of hearing birds instead of ringtones. Of watching the moon instead of Netflix. Of reconnecting with nature, your people, and maybe even yourself. I'll absolutely be back. Next time, I think it'll be a solo trip—a little reset button for the soul.

The only "complaint"? The rooster apparently didn't get the memo that we were on vacation. 🐓😂 He takes his job very seriously! That said, the early morning wake-up call was clearly mentioned before we arrived, so we can't pretend we weren't warned. It honestly just added to the authentic ranch experience and gave us a laugh.

the location was beautiful, the owners were lovely, it was such a relaxed setting and we enjoyed meeting the animals. The views out of all the windows were tranquil and beautiful. The layout of the cabin was very nice. The kitchen was soothing to stand and cook in. My partner and I were so happy sitting on the front porch after the children went to bed, gazing out at the nightscape on the farm.

The shower was hard to figure out and was not a proper shower but a garden hand sprayer attached to a hose, that did not seem to have an attachment for hands free showering, and the bathtub looked rusty or dirty - I could not tell - so we did not bathe while there, which was minorly disappointing as I had been looking forward to a shower when we got there. There was no door on the washroom which was slightly embarrassing sometimes. The stairs up to the loft were a bit rickety and it felt like the rope attached to wood posts would not hold an adult if they slipped and fell. The windows had no screens, so I closed them all at night to keep the bugs out, but that meant we had little air flow in the cabin for the night. Luckily the night was not too hot and we were comfortable with the windows closed.

They have stove and friendly staff.

There were so many ants in the house and even in bed. Those were the largest ants I have ever seen in my life. As a result, we couldn’t risk to sleep on bed and slept in our car all the night.
