Forget your worries in this spacious and serene character suite. Welcome to the Village Garden, in the heart of the Shawnigan Village. Minutes walk to a bakery, coffee shop, sushi, pizza and more. Lake access within walking distance. The suite features beautiful garden access, outdoor dining/BBQ area, full kitchen and shared laundry. The living room has “the world’s most comfortable sofa bed” for extra family members and features a heat pump so you can adjust the temperature to your comfort. Weekly and Monthly discounts available during fall and winter months. Inquire for details!
Follow the path through the beautiful garden that will lead you to the suite. Open the french doors and step into the living room featuring an electric fire place, tv, comfy lounge furniture. Through the living room you will find the full kitchen, dining area and dedicated workspace. The queen bedroom has ample closet space and french doors to keep the bedroom private from the rest of the suite. There is access to the shared washer and dryer for use as well as an ironing board.
Step outside your door to enjoy the gardens, use the bbq, and relax on the patio furniture. You can even help yourself to veggies from the garden during the late summer months.
2 minute drive to St. Johns Academy and Shawnigan Lake School. 9 minutes drive to Brentwood College School.
We have a second suite available in the upper level of the house. The suites combined will sleep a total of 6 people. Perfect if you are traveling as couples or with the extended family for some added privacy! Please reach out for details about the Village Loft and for availability.

The place for my wife and I was what we were looking for. Listing was accurate. Location was great. General store,some restaurants which were good and the lake just a short walk away. Highly recommended.

The pics are quite deceiving. This is a basement suite in an old building. The ceilings are all 6.5 ft, except in the small vaulted add-on room that is featured in the pics. The beam through the shower (in the pics) is at about 5'8", so I had to duck.
They tried to dress it up. It is very well appointed, given the space, but as it is an old building, with creaky floors, so you hear the people above way too loudly.
When we arrived the key was not in the lock box, but by pure fluke the owner was there to let us in. It would have been a big hassle otherwise. The TV password was wrong on the instructions, and we didn't get the correct one until late on the last night of our stay. We messaged the owner on night 1, but she says she didn't receive it.
Also, the VRBO map makes the location look way better than it is. It is not by the park, facing the water, but instead on the other side of the center of town. It's only a quarter mile difference, but it's a big quarter mile!
