This was our second visit to this property as we liked it and the island so much the first time round. The property's comfortable and well-equipped with two bedrooms/bathrooms, and everything's good quality and in very good condition. Galiano's exceptional in the availability of trails and beach access, and the hosts - Christa and Frank - are welcoming and helpful. We hope to get back before too long.

I recently stayed at this vacation rental, and while the experience was generally okay, there were several misleading aspects and issues that need improvement. Firstly, the listing didn’t clearly state that the suite is located on the upper floor, which was inconvenient. Soundproofing is also lacking—normal conversations from neighboring guests were easily heard, affecting privacy. The "ocean view" described felt more like a distant "ocean sight," not quite what I was expecting. Upon arrival, I had to contact the host for instructions, which could have been provided upfront. Cleanliness was another concern: the deck floor, shower appliances, and kitchen drawers weren’t adequately cleaned. The shower's hot and cold settings were reversed, causing confusion. Additionally, the kitchen was poorly equipped—no dish-drying rack, no blender, and the kettle wouldn't open. Basic essentials like tea, oil, aluminum foil, tissues, and hand soap were missing. Even the coffee left for guests was barely enough for one morning. Other small annoyances included no shampoo provided, and towels were hidden in closets rather than laid out. On top of that, a dog wandered into the BBQ area, and kids were playing just a few feet from the house, which detracted from the relaxing atmosphere I expected. Overall, the stay was decent, but the misleading details in the listing and lack of attention to essentials were disappointing.

Christa's place is a great location for exploring Galiano. Spacious interior spread over two floors, with a fabulous master bedroom / ensuite on the upper level. Kitchen and amenities all fully equipped, and there's a lovely deck / grill for sunny days. Highly receommended.

We loved the house (we were upstairs). Clean, comfortable, and well fitted out. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of places to hang out (living room, loft, dining room, deck). The location was perfect, an easy walk to the shore access, and close to beaches and shops (by car). Christa is friendly and helpful. It was our first time on Galiano and we found it easy to get around and see and do a lot. The Saturday market was great, we really enjoyed the food scene (particularly memorable was the Valley Grill - outside eating tacos listening to live music), Sturdies Bay Bakery had excellent coffee, Galiano Island Books was lovely and friendly as was Galiano Island Soap Works. It all made for a great long weekend. Lots more to see and do - we'll be back.

We had a wonderful stay here. The house is amazing and we had a great few days exploring the island. I tried and failed to reach Christa the day before of and the day of our arrival because we had not received any checkin instructions. That wasn't ideal, but we found the place and were able to figure everything out and Christa responded later that evening. We really enjoyed our stay and I would definitely love to return at some point.

We had a very nice few days here, using the house as a base to explore the island. The house is set back in the forest with a nice view through the trees to the ocean. It was very peaceful, clean, with comfortable beds. For our trip, it worked out very well. I’d stay here again in future.

My three friends and I spent July long weekend on Galiano and stayed at this beautiful home. The pictures don't do the space justice it is spacious and cozy and feels like you're staying in a treehouse. The house was walking distance to 2 beach accesses and a short drive to the ferry, and other attractions. We had a wonderful time staying here and would definitely book again!

Nice location and view. Unit looks recently renovated. Furnishings included everything needed. Clean except for some dead flies by the window in kitchen and on floor under windows in master bedroom. Couple minor appliance issues need attention. "hot surface" light on stove stays on all the time. Dishwasher not working. Owners aware and waiting for island repairman to assist. vaccum system by sink kept switching on. We finally unplugged it and that solved the problem. Refrigerator nice and clean. Washer and dryer worked fine. Nice bathrooms. Netflicks and internet worked fine. might be wise to relocate extension cords running under rugs in living room to avoid any fire hazard. Great deck with water view and lots of seating. Had some issues making final payment but that was a VRBO issue not owner issue.

We enjoyed our stay at Cristas rental property. We did feel the listing was misleading in saying you have the space to yourself. The family has their trailer right outside the front door. There are a number of trailers and other equipment on the property. It didn’t feel like a quite secluded cabin in nature but like you were in someone’s home who was there. There was a fair amount of noise from kids playing around house and generator running. The home itself was exactly as picture - big open space, partial ocean view, suite has everything you need.

This property does not feel like a rental property; it is a lovely, clean, comfortable home that has everything you need for a short or long term stay with the added bonus of in suite laundry. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to be pleasantly surprised when they open the door to find that the property surpasses expectation. Having such great accommodations will only add to the wonderful memories of the time spent on Galiano for my daughter's wedding. Thanks for sharing your home Christa :)

The space is on the upper level of the house and was so comfortable to be in for our family, and appreciate that we could bring our doggies there as well. Beach access close by is a bonus. Second time visiting Galiano and staying here is a major part of our return because we knew how much relaxing it is. Tastefully and practically furnished, quiet, near to the water and Christa is so welcoming - we hope to make it an annual trip which speaks for itself.

Stayed here for family wedding. Check in was good as host allowed us to check in early, although there were no check in instructions, but the doors were open. No wifi instructions and cell coverage bad but host gave wifi password via text msg. Kitchen dishes well stocked, but hand soaps in kitchen and bathrooms seemed to be all filled with water. Used iron but it sprayed black on our white shirt for wedding, so ended up buying an iron at hardware store. Colored towels smelled funky. We triple checked as we always do-- cleanliness and items we may have left behind, all is good and aside from linens and towels, all was left in same condition as we arrived. As we made our travels back home, the hosts messaged and said her lamp was broken at base and can no longer stand up. We did not break ANYTHING and if we did, we certainly are not the type of people to cower away without saying anything. Host proceeded to ask for payment - either etransfer to her USA account or thru VRBO. Host required to provide picture of said broken lamp. Her picture was of a lamp, outside at bottom of staircase. TAKE BEFORE AND AFTER PHOTOS AND VIDEO'S; OTHERWISE YOU MAY BE OUT $125 FOR "BREAKING BASE OF LAMP"

We enjoyed a lovely stay as part of our Mayne and Galiano islands bike trip, the home and setting is as beautiful, tastefully furnished and outfitted as presented on the website, didn't lack for anything! There were 4 of us staying here. The kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were comfy and the host was helpful. The pricing was a bit confusing as it didn't say the price per night is based on double occupancy so when we booked for 4 people, there was an additional guest charge. However, the place was still great. Galiano Island is a beautiful island with so many shore access trails to hike. We would definitely come here again and stay at Arrowsrun.

We had a super comfortable stay at Christa’s place! She was kind and friendly and the house is stunning. Waking up in the comfy, huge bed to the view of the sunrise through the trees and the sea was so SO nice. Great kitchen, cozy living room, a peahen visited us on our way out… 100% recommend!

Our stay was amazing!! The pictures shown on the listing do not do the suite justice! Everything about it was great. It was warm and cozy. It was also our first time on Galiano. Christa was a great host! We were lucky enough to cross paths. She was super friendly and down-to-earth. Any questions we had about the island she was able to answer. Would return again in a heartbeat. Thank you for having us!
