Wonderful experience

It truly was a lovely 100 year old house, in excellent condition, updated bathroom. Close to Metro. Host was very thoughtful, providing maps, umbrellas, and extra coffee. Beds were very comfortable. The neighborhood was vibrant. And very reasonably priced compared to accommodations closer to the center of Paris.

Comfortable location, many cafes and restaurants, near metro and bus stop. Very kind hosts, you feel at home. New bathroom and cozy retro setting.

We didn’t have a room key and a key for the front door and the second was a little awkward because had to engage the owner to open and close all the time.

i could come back for sure!

The room was charming and romantic. It felt living like a Parisian back in time, the whole villa has its own character, with lovely architecture and internal design. We could also find so interesting books in the shelves of our room. The balcony was full of flowers and the garden was cute. The bathroom was renovated. The bed was excellent. The hostess and the host very polite , sweet and helpful. The neighborhood reminded me of a small and nice french village.

The private bathroom is located outside the room but we did not have any problem at all because we were the only guests in the floor. I did not notice that the fan in our room was noisy and we had to turn it off because it was disturbing.

Overall an average stay with excellent hosts

The house is nice. The owners though old, were very welcoming and fun to talk to. They did everything to make our stay comfortable. They Kept our luggage till 1800 h, allowed us space to change, even after check out at 1200h and helped us get a taxi. Good connectivity as there is a metro station within 500 metres

The room is quite small like Ibis budget. The room is on the second floor. Taking heavy luggage through small winding staircase is challenging. The bathroom is situated outside the room and is a shared bathroom. There is no key to the room. The entry is facilitated by the owner every time, so at nights to wake them makes you uncomfortable. Getting a taxi / Uber from the location was quite difficult.

Lovely old villa in a peaceful area Don't listen to the travel guides, this district is beautiful and safe! Totally chilly Nice pastellerie and cafes nearby You have the impression you're staying in someone's home (might be a minus for someone though), for us it was nice Fully equipped room and bathroom, seems someone's room when no guests, even toys were there The owner doesn't speak English but we were able to communicate well anyway!

- Cat wasn't mentioned in the offer, otherwise I wouldn't choose it because of a strong allergy :( Seems it has access to the room when no booking. It was impossible to ventilate. It's a huge inconvenience for me, although for some might be a + - breakfast option would be nice - first night was very cold (January) because the heating was off. But the next day when I spoke to the owner he set it on for the night as well.

Superb

The House, built around 1910, is tasteful and unique both in its architecture and furniture. The beds are particularely comfortable. Please note that the hosts wont give you a key of their House, since they live in it themself. They will instead open the door at any given time to let you in. Right over the Street sits the House of the Becket Family (ask the Host for more information).

Quiet location, friendly owners, near metro and many options for food and drink!

We did not have breakfast as we were up and out early though the option was there. Very friendly people and helpful. Very comfortable beds. There was no TV in the room but that was ok for us but maybe not for others!? Location is very near the Metro and a very nice bakery is just down the road. It has many options to eat and is a 10 min walk from the famous Pere Lachaise cemetery!

Nothing to dislike.. Was expecting a key to the room but none was given, but this was fine as we knew our belongings were safe! Again if you prefer a TV then maybe ask in advance of travel.

we didn’t get the rooms originally booked (one double and one with 3 singles), but we were the only ones on that floor and had the shared bathroom to ourselves.

Perfect for a city trip to Paris: cosy, welcoming, calm neighbourhood and close to public transport.

Very kind and helpful hosts! They helped us with finding parking facilities and getting settled in. They live in the same house, so they are always there to help, while of course respecting your privacy. Calm and quiet neighbourhood, perfect for a good night's sleep! Close to reliable public transport that gets you everywhere in the city (metro Porte de Bagnolet).

Nothing bothered us during our stay, to be honest. Bedroom and bathroom are not very big, but perfect for a short stay. No separate entrance to the room and you also don't get a key. The hosts are always at home and will let you in. This did not bother us. We found it very welcoming and homely.

There are different metro stations near the house and nice places to eat, the private bathroom is really good and clean, the bedroom was cozy and the host was really kind with us.

The host did not provide any keys so it is not very comfortable to call late at night to open the doors.

Exceptional

We had a wonderful stay at la romantique. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Our room on the top floor with a balcony was cozy with a nice view off the green garden. The area had a nice flair with some restaurants, cafes and a big market with lots of fresh fruit and delicious cheese to try. There is a parking garage close by, so the car is safe while exploring Paris by metro. The metro station is only a 5 minute walk away.

Beautiful, character property and lovely owners.

Advert led me to believe breakfast was included but it was not. However, their kitchen was made available to us. You can eat in the kitchen pull out table, on your balcony with table & in their beautiful garden. They have a cat. Owners extremely attentive and very welcoming. Beautiful, character property, well maintained and presented.

Two fights of slippery stairs to attic room. Bathroom reached via hallway. Doors difficult to lock and would benefit from being quieter. No personal front door key but quick to let you in. No safe but can use wardrobe which has a key. Would be nice to have tea making facilities in the room. Location - end of tube line so about 30 minutes to city centre - recommend Navigo metro pass.
