Our house away from home9

This was our second time staying at the unit as a family. The standard has not fallen in any way. The location of the unit is just right, it is withon the city limit but out of the way of the traffic and noises. The place is very clean and yet it feels like a home. The communication with the host was excellent. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Sheffield.

The crowd from the school nearby can cause traffic congestion at times during weekdays.

Functional - but would not stay again and issues reported that need fixing .

Location was good and it was spacious.

This property is not as the photos. I am also not sure where the previous reviews have come from? The outside area was dirty. Outside windows had not been cleaned and although it was a hot weekend we were unable to sit outside due to its condition and not having a key. The carpets were dirty and needed cleaning . The bathroom needed maintenance damp damage in the corner . The sealant needed replacing in the en-suite as it is black with mould. The sofa was dirty and we were unable to use the lounge all weekend due to the condition of the sofas. It was like sitting on the floor as they had been used and used and needed replacing. The kitchen table was sticky due to varnish coming off. Solid ice in the fridge - needed defrosting. Not acceptable considering how much we paid and I would not recommend anyone stays until they rectify the issues. A hotel would be far better. I gave the management company a chance to put things right but they were not interested. Unfortunately I can only add 4 pictures - I would like to upload more.

Fabulous and Relaxing

Nice quite location. Clean and comfortable property. Quick response from owner when we reported broken shower head. Replaced it promptly.

Non availability of basic toiletries like shampoo and shower gel in both bathrooms and also sugar in the kitchen, which would have saved us a journey getting it. Had we known we would have come with it :)

Disappointed on cleanliness.

It was not clean. The carpet hadn’t’t been hoovered, stains on carpet in living room. Dinning table varnish coming off so had a sticky feel. The twin room dirty and sheets looked liked they had not been changed for a while.

Best stay in Sheffield

The unit is modern, warm and comfortable with 2.5 baths which was a bonus. The location is near everything, especially the train station. Ample private parking space, good for 2 cars. The host was polite and very prompt in responding.

On weekdays young drivers park on the road, by the front door. I guess they are students of the college nearby. Not a big deal as they do not leave their cars too long.

Great home BAD MANAGEMENT

Very close to town centre and great off street parking. Great home . I just had a bad dealing with the management team. Shame as I would book again but due to them I won't be.

The way the PRIVATE management team bombarded me with messages about ... what to do if there are any problems.... and I must state any problems within 8 hours. And they withhold a £350 deposit. I felt I pressured to notify them of ANY Problems as I may be liable if I didn't. My work life has been varied and one of those is SNAGGING on building sites. So I was quite aware of what was needed. Even though some of the issues were wear and tear some were not. I felt that the management company "PASSTHEPROPERTY" were over zealous and I felt that maybe someone with a lesser understanding of what they required may lose their deposit or part of. I had a very long winded message chat to and throw, and also a long phone conversation. I personally would not book if this management company is control. This has no reflection on the properties.

Instructions how to find the lockbox were incorrect. Also the wifi network name and password were incorrect. Getting the master bedroom shower to work required some detective work.

Disappointing

Location is great! About a 15 minute walk from centre. Staff at Pass the Property were friendly and seemed to take on our feedback about the lack of cleanliness, so hopefully future guests will not have the same issues we did.

Very disappointed, as the property is advertised as 'stunning', and it is far from. It has the potential to be stunning, but needs a lot of maintenance to achieve this. We were not happy with the cleanliness at all. Dirty towels, bitty carpets, cobwebs hanging from every corner, blocked sink, grime all over shower tiles, just to name a few... I spent the weekend sending photos of all the issues to Pass the Property, in hopes that future guests will have a more pleasant experience. The kitchen items need a lot of TLC. Most of the pans had the handles almost coming off, which meant almost wearing hot baked beans! The fridge was half taken up by ice! We visit Sheffield every year for a music festival. If this property had of lived up to the description, we'd have come back year after year. Unfortunately, our experience means we will not be returning to this property in the future. The location is quite noisy with traffic on the main road, so not great for light sleepers. However, the neighbours in the street were all quiet. I was also disappointed that after 7 days, when our security deposit was still not showing as refunded, I had to contact the property again, asking about it. They then did the refund which took another 72 hours to appear on our card. This was not in line with the information given before paying the security deposit.

Location excellent and quiet.

No instruction folder for the central heating. There was no individual thermostat as suggested in the welcome email. As it became colder at night it would have been good to have had the instructions to hand to give the heating a boost. The bedding was a disappointment in our room as the bottom sheet barely covered the bed and there was no mattress protector. I would urge the owner to address this asap and the fact we had no hand towels only large bath towels. The kitchen had no tea towels.

Fairly good choice for families. Value for money.

This is a pretty new property and equipped with modern appliances. Fairly clean. Location is good, convenient parking. We are two families travelling together, ideal room layout and comfort stay for a family fun.

Not a good place for quiet sleepers. The noise from the street is quite annoying during nighttime. If there is a midnight party next door like what we had experienced during stay, it would be a disaster.

Not Stunning. But it’s fine

Overall the property is fine for a short stay if you need to be close to Sheffield city centre. It’s a quiet area. In general the property was clean.

This property is not stunning. It’s ordinary. The garden is a depressing space, the kitchen tap was broken, the outside bins were full from the previous visitors so we had nowhere to put our rubbish for the duration of our stay, there was broken glass outside the front of the house when we arrived too. We reported these issues on arrival but no solutions were offered.
