Great location right next to the river in Asakusa

No elevator, so carrying luggage up and down the stairs was a hassle. The bathroom setup was also a downgrade — instead of one larger shower area, there were two tiny stand-up showers that felt cramped.”

The location is in a quiet neighborhood and by the river with good view. It's also close to Asakusa station (8-10 min walk). The facility is old but clean. Overall the value (price, location, and family size) is good for Tokyo.

The room area is sizable for Japanese standard, but the overall layout (e.g. bathroom sink, kitchen table) is highly inefficient. There was no space to walk when we laid out luggages. If they had used bunk beds, the room would be much more spacious. There's no elevator (expected), so carrying luggages to the 5th floor was quite a work out (all rooms are 3rd floor to 5th floor). If you have a family with heavy or several pieces of luggage, I do not recommend this place. If you travel light, it offers good value. There's no staff and no luggage storage, so if you check out, you need to bring luggage with you to store it elsewhere.
