About this house rental
If you love that lake house feel with a phenomenal view and close proximity to all of your favorite Lake Martin attractions, this is your home for the week! When reviewing other properties, keep in mind that our home is in a cove facing southeast on deep water. This means no baking sun in the morning or evening and considerably less boat traffic (these differentiators are rare and significantly improve the quality of your stay). We’re also less than 40 minutes from Auburn, making this location perfect for your football weekend getaway. Our house is protected from the main channel’s massive choppy water by the Silver Hill peninsula. This 3BR / 2.5 BA has everything you need to relax comfortably and enjoy family and friends. You will enjoy the large porch and stone fire pit, both with a great views of the Lake. The covered boat dock offers lots of space for play. This cozy rental is only minutes from Chimney Rock, Chuck's Marina and Stillwaters Golf Club. The Union boat ramp is only a mile away! Centrally located, you will enjoy boat rides daily to multiple different beaches, Goat Island and all of the Marinas on the Lake. Your private boat dock has an electronic boat lift and multiple spaces for docking other boats.
The ground floor has the master bedroom, master bath and a 1/2 bath. Also, on the ground floor you will be able to sleep 2 in the fold out sectional. Two bedrooms upstairs both having a queen bed plus a twin XL over queen bunk bed. The upstairs full bath is centrally located for convenient use from both bedrooms. The best view inside the house is from the loft area where you have a sofa and another fold out couch.
The property is located on the Southeast side of Lake Martin with easy access to I-85.

*Our personal favorite is the 250 engine tri-toon from Jordan Pontoon Rentals (256) 794-3567 or (256) 794-3566 as they’re easiest to work with, deliver near to us and have a newer boat with everything you need to have fun.

* $450/night for the rest of the summer when school is out
* $350/night for Auburn football weekends (2 night minimum)
* $300 cleaning fee (additional fee applied if you leave the home messy)

We had a fantastic Thanksgiving week stay at this house. Firepit is perfect this time of year to build a fire and look out over the lake. Beds are super comfortable and the kitchen is fully furnished. It was nice to have a refrigerator in the kitchen and another one downstairs for storage of bigger items and leftovers. Nice touch on that! The dock area is super nice and we used the kayaks. Note: The house does not supply life jackets so we brought our own. 47 Steps from the dock to the firepit. The back porch was enjoyed by everyone on the trip. It has plenty of room for everyone to spread out and do their own thing. If you want a relaxing and quiet getaway with the capability to sleep lots of people in a clean home, this is your spot! Hopefully, we will stay here again!

This is a fabulous property in a perfect location that afforded the optimum retreat for our family reunion. The living accommodations were comfortable and perfect for a multi-night stay. The firepit is a huge plus--we thoroughly enjoyed our time chatting around the fire each night. Owners are very responsive and accommodating. Overall, a wonderful stay!!!

First the positive: House was clean inside. Had to remove spider webs from all the entrances but I believe no one had rented in a while prior to us. The beds were comfortable. And the dock area was a nice place to enjoy with easy steps in water. There are quite a few stairs to get to dock and some are steep but that’s normal on many lake homes. The property owner was easy to work with and did let us arrive a couple hours early.The negative: there is a gas grill and a charcoal grill. The gas grill was very dirty and there were no grill cleaning utensils. And you have to fill the tank if you use the gas grill. But I brought my own tank and I could not get grill to work. We used the charcoal grill and it’s seen better days. Grill grate very dirty and bent. Screws holding front part of grill up.Cooking pots and pans are very limited and the one pot and skillet we salvaged was very used. Note when you rent this property your required to purchase renters insurance. Three days after our stay I received a claim from the insurance for replacement of stove. We used the stove during our stay because as I stated above gas grill didn’t work and charcoal grill was in bad shape. The stove top and oven worked fine as we made all our meals on it. So not sure why a claim was made
