Great location slightly off the main strip but short walk, amazing view, lovely cooling swimming pool to relax in under the stars, very friendly staff!
A communal fridge & available filtered drinking water would make the stay even better.

I had a nice room and I was allowed to book in earlier than expected.

Hit it lucky. This place is not for everyone, but for us it was incredible. Why? Because we wanted a quiet place to stay a step away from the action. Yes there are barking dogs, roosters in the morning, maybe even a lizard at the window. Not only did this site provide a beautiful view, but the access into the town was perfect, a few paces up the hill, and a little out of breath, but the view and the location were stunning. (bring a flash light, its that simple)At our first arrival our room was billowing with heat, but we turned on the fan and relaxed, we were ok. The morning came and we slide down the hill for a breakfast in town, which was satisfactory, but its a pretty ecliptic place of hippies, and people going to the beach. That evening we met our host Adriena, and that is when our experienced changed! Adriena and her young helper provided for us every morning with breakfast. We were the only guests using the service, and sat atop the boutique hotel and observed the landscape, the ocean and could hear the roar of the waves. That night, we decided to have dinner at the Quinto Sol, after a walkabout the town. Dinner was incredible as we had our evening to ourselves, the view, the dim lighting, to say it was romantic was an understatement. Each day we ventured to another secluded beach, away from the Zipolites, and the Playa amor's and each evening we would return to dinner. We were able to select what was going to be on the menu earlier. We fell in love with Adriena, her conversation, her care to look after us and an acknowledgement of our needs as guests. Like i said this hotel is not for everyone, but for us, it was not just a little dream, but reality that we will always fondly remember. I am sure if you email the hotel they can provide you with any questions that you might have so that you might also have an outstanding experience. Finally for the money we saved by being catered for at the hotel, we spent in Mexico City on our return home.

staff was nice
location not really central, no balcony as expected, very loud fan, bathroom was not clean

Nice views.
Staff was friendly.
Step hill and stairs to get to the hotel, even is a short walk, is better not to use flipflops.
There was not toilet seat.
No ilumination in the path to get there.
Internet was really unstable, most of the time was not working or was at a low speed.

It’s a lovely setting with a great roof terrace. Fridge is great to cool water. Shower is nice.
They are still doing construction which meant a bit of noise earlier in the morning. The rooms aren’t turned or bins emptied or fresh towels. But at the same time that makes the room feel More secure perhaps a door handle notice to request these would help.

Very comfy beds and room.
It is located on a steep hill but the views are great.

We stayed in Aire, and it was absolutely comfortable. The space was large for the price, the room had lots of hooks, a shoe rack, a desk, two side tables, a mini fridge, two fans (ceiling and floor), and private balcony. As well, the mattresses were the most comfortable I've had had in my Mexico travels thus far. Being on the hill, it is quiet and peaceful (not like the loud main drag in town). We had a few nights of cervezas and card games on the gorgeous terrace, too. The staff and owner are very friendly and exceptionally hard workers to whom I give my respect and gratitude. We will be back! Muchísimas gracias.
Nada. If you want a quiet, comfortable, and reasonably priced getaway in Mazunte, this is the place.

The view was nice.
It was a difficult place to access. The room was very sparse. Hard to unpack. The window screen wasn’t very secure so didn’t feel safe at night. Wasn’t told there was a safe in the room or how to use it. Photos did not match expectations for room.

The location and roofterras were absolutely amazing, beautiful shaded areas, nice to have a well prepared breakfast.
The owner Cesar is helpful, excellent company who gets out of his way to help his guests.
The room and beds were in good shape, clean. Wifi was good and I was able to do my work and emails.
I will definitely come back to Quinto Sol and stay for a longer time.
Thanks Cesar, you made my trip better!

It was clean
You have to climb uncomfortable and unfinished stairs to get to the place. If you are carrying big luggage is not a option.
When we left we were asked about a decorative item, that never was in the room, that was weird and uncomfortable.

the view from the (shared) terrace was absolutely amazing !
the room wasn’t that clean, and the linen definitely needs to be replaced as it is clearly very old . However it was very cheap.

Great view from the balcony, spacious room, comfortable beds, good wifi. Close to the town but far from the noise, hustle and bustle.
It is up on the hill so you need to climb up (hard for seniors). Price is quite high for that type of room, comparing to other towns and cities in Mexico.

the view was nice.
the location was not on Google maps so I couldn’t find it independently. the staff had to come and get me in the middle of the night to bring me to the hotel. It was a bit overpriced considering location and that there was a hotel closer to town that was more than 200 pesos less expensive for a private room and more facilities.

it is a very pleasant and chill place outside of the busy Center of a Mazunte
it would be great to inform that there is a stairs shortcut for the main road. this can save you literally half hour of walking

The attention to detail at the Quinto Sol is amazing. From the architecture to the super friendly staff, everything was in place for us to have an amazing stay.
The views from the balcony must be some of the best in town, the room was super clean and the bathroom is on another level compared to any hostel I've visited in Mexico.
We had to leave because we did not book enough days (unfortunately) and Jonathan at the reception was nice enough to help us book another hotel last minute and even drive us there.
Overall, one of the best hotel experience I've had in that price range, would repeat anytime.

We loved our stay! It was so clean and comfy. 5 big screened windows and nice beds. 2 high powered ceiling fans and a floor fan. It was just right on the edge of town and only took 30 seconds to get up the stairs from the main road. The staff was wonderful and offered to clean our room daily but we didn't find that necessary. The view is spectacular, we could see whales jumping from the rooftop balcony. It was also very quiet, which is hard to find anywhere near town. I would definitely stay here again.
There wasn't anything we didn't like.

The room was a good size, beds, bathroom too. The desk was handy and I liked that there was a balcony.
The noise! I spent a lot of time researching and sel this hotel specifically to be in a quiet place and enjoy the view from the balcony. Every morning at 7am, we were woken up to on-site construction. Even on the weekends! There was also noise at night a couple of times. The fan was not properly installed so it was completely ineffective and no way to cool ourselves off. There are no lights for the stairs at night and no sign explaining where to take the stairs! I felt that I paid too much for what I received. The owner and staff are very friendly and even gave me cake for my birthday, so I want to be clear that the hotel is not the problem it's the rate that they charge and what you receive for that price. It doesn't match. I felt that basic attention to detail was lacking.

César is a very caring and wonderful host! Will give you good recommendations and help you with everything
the place is surrounded by a construction side which didn’t really bother us

Overall place located in rural location, hide away.access to the room through a difficult and dangerous staircase. Terrible maintenance, needed to ask the guy to have them clean the room every day,
. Will not recommend this place for people over 35 yrs-old, period. It shouldn't be given hotel category, this time I definitely got the wrong booking advise

The location was good, but extremely noisy!
Both from the road, and from other people staying there.

Friendly staff, big room, cozy patio, quiet place.
It was really warm because there were lots of windows. An airconditioning would make it more comfortable.
