Central ggod value place in mazunte

Great location. A stones throw from the main road in mazunte but not to too loud at night. Comfortable bed and nice having a small table. Host was helpful and not too hot in January. Although no air con so may be different in hotter months. Good wi-fi.

Perhaps could of had a few more utensils to eat with, like bowls or plates.

Quiet room in mazunte

A little bit away from the main road, so it was quiet. There were two fans which provided enough cool air and the room was very clean and cute. Beware of the fact that there is no hot water. The garden is also cute, but it could use some maintenance. There were two (or one) adorable kittens.

Unfortunately we could not leave our belongings in the property, but the owner agree to let us do a later check-out.

Lovely stay in great location in Mazunte

Paula is a lovely and warm person and a friendly host. The room is basic and has a good vibe, many details are thought of: mosquito plug, bug spray, extra bin bag, incense, plates and glasses. We wanted to cut some fruit and Paula immediately brought us a sharp knife. Location is perfect: just off the main road of Mazunte.

The bed was a bit too narrow for a European couple (same size as in many other Mexican places)

Humble but pleasant.

Paula was very sweet and welcomed us warmly. The room was simple but had thoughtful touches that made it nicer. Also there are two very sweet cats on property who welcomed us every time we entered and exited.

The alley accessing the property was slippery and muddy and hard to navigate at night with no lights- but that is out of control of the property owner.

It was a nice retreat from the heat and activity of the beach and main streets, both very close by.

We enjoyed little things like being able to hang up our clothes, having a fridge and a place to relax outdoors. As many others have said, Paula very kind and attentive host.

I found the perfect home away from home, in Casa de Kai and I will be back.

As a solo female traveler, Casa de Kai was perfection. A 7 minute walk to the beach, one minute to anything you might need or want while in Mazunte. The room was perfect, clean, bright, cozy, simple. Paula is an exceptional and attentive host and a remarkable human. She was the best part of my stay at Casa de Kai - in her, I made a life-long friend. Oh, and the cats Minu and Max hanging with me in the garden, were a sweet addition.

I have nothing negative to say about my stay at Casa de Kai.

cute double room in the heart of Mazunte

Paula is an amazing host! She is super welcoming, warm and friendly, it definitely made my stay sweeter 🩷 The room was very cute and had everything I needed for a good stay, it doesn’t have a kitchen but honestly it was not a problem, you have a fridge to store the essentials, like water, yogurts and fresh food in general. I went in May and it was boiling hot, but the fans provided and the fact that the room is not exposed to direct sunlight made it a lot easier and bearable! the flat is located literally one minute away from the main road and it’s very close to anything.. well, Mazunte is a self-contained village anyway :) I have really enjoyed my stay and it was so sad to leave! thank you Paula for your warmth and kindness, I will be back soon!

Sweet little spot close to the beach

The owner is a really sweet lady who always made sure we're happy and asked if we need any cleaning. The room is simple but clean and comfortable, we especially enjoyed having a table by the window for work and a fridge with some welcome beers and a bottle of water. There is a basket with first aid, knife and some other essentials in the room whish is a lovely detail. Even though there's just a fan we were okay because the windows with mosquito nets assure good circulation. The wi-fi was good enough for work. It is true that the shower is just a pipe without a shower head but I actually prefer that to weak pressure showers in many other places. Bonus: extremely friendly cat 😁 Perfect location close to the beach as well as the colectivos on the main road. Plenty of great food spots nearby. We would definitely come back!

Not an issue but it was a bit tricky to find. Just look to your RIGHT on the side road where it shows the location. You'll see the little chalkboard sign on a gate.

Nice and clean

Great location just off what seemed to be one of the main streets of Mazunte. Plenty of restaurants nearby and a short walk to the beach. An initial bottle of water was provided. The room was very clean and the ladies there were very nice.

There is no shower head, just the pipe out of the wall (I think a previous review mentioned this so I wasn't surprised). I found the bed to be a little small and in my opinion the room is overpriced for what you get.

Casa Kay nice experience

Really calm and clean place. Really pleasure to stay with Paula. Nice and wonderful woman with a nice energy. The room completely clean! She was asking if everything is fine . I was glad to be on the right place. Highly recommend.

Superb

Case de Kai is in a great location for a stay in Mazunte, very central but also tucked away a bit so it was always very quiet. Paula was very kind and friendly and made us feel welcome immediately. The place is cute and was very clean. Paula warned us about bugs getting in but we had no issues with mosquitos or insects in the end. There is a mini fridge which was great for keeping things cool.

This was no surprise because it is exactly as advertised - but I found it really hot in April and struggled at night with only a fan. So be prepared for that.

A great value and a lovely host!

Paola is the kindest human I’ve ever met in my life. She was so warm and welcoming. The space was clean and she gave me an extra fan in the night to stay cool. The water in the shower was always the perfect temperature and having my own bathroom was very nice. The space was centrally located but not too much noise at night.

Not much of a breeze so it’s hot unless you are directly under a fan - but this is most of Mazunte in my experience.

The room was super clean, comfortable, and pretty. Very comfortable bed. The host is absolutely lovely, very kind and caring, a really wonderful person. The location was excellent, everything you need is close by (including the beach) but it's tucked away a few meters down a side street, so the place is quiet & calm.

Bed is a little small but it was comfy enough. You are really in middle of it so bear in mind there is construction noise in the day and music from the bars in the evening. This didn't bother us really...

it didn’t have a shower head so water just came out of the pipe. it would be nice to have a refrigerator. I would have rented it by the month if it had that.

The lady , Paula, was very personable and helpful. The room was near everything but still quiet and exactly as the photo. Paula even got me a good price on a taxi to Puerto Escondido when it was time to go.
