Great weekend away with friends in a lovely house with lots of character.

Really enjoyed our stay at Newton Manor, Rosie the host was exceptional and went above and beyond to make our weekend perfect. From hiring in a hot tub, booking a silent disco (which was so much fun) to giving recommendations on walks and activities in the local area. The house was decorated for Xmas and was a nice touch to arrive with Xmas music playing in the house. She even left a gift for my sisters as it was her birthday. Would absolutely recommend!

Beautiful scottish manor ideal for groups in an idyllic setting!

The house is really special! It’s situated in a beautiful part of Scotland and ideal for a large group gathering. We were in the area for a wedding in Leven and it was ideal. The rooms are large and spacious. We loved having a tv for a lazy evening the night after the wedding. The house is very well equipped, warm and the host is so lovely and extremely communicative!

Old world charm with modern facilities in a lovely part of the world.

Superb Victorian house with plenty of room for a large group. Beds all comfortable and a large kitchen with excellent facilities and equipment. Games rooms and outdoor spaces were well used by our family. Generous welcome hamper was a lovely surprise.

Fantastic Stay.

We were very impressed with this beautiful house and its location. The scenery was amazing. A lot of consideration had been given to what would enhance your stay here. the facilities were excellent. Everything that you would need and more was provided by Rosie and her team. We were made very welcome, and Rosie was readily available to help with any questions and requests. We had a fantastic few days at Newton Manor House.

Fantastic property with a lovely host, made everyone feel comfortable and relaxed very quickly

The house was lovely, Spacious and compact all at once, plenty of rooms for various activities whilst also not feeling like you're walking a marathon just to get a drink from the kitchen or go to the bathroom.

The only downside that was mentioned was the road leading up to the property was a bit bumpy and difficult to navigate during the rain but in no way was this a major issue.

Lovely family holiday

Newton Manor is a very grand, yet cosy, house with huge and impressive public rooms situated in the beautiful village of Newton of Falkland, a mile’s walk along with lovely Laich Road to Falkland itself. We were a party of twelve, ranging from six months to 84, and we had a great time at the property. Rosie is the most wonderful host, and nothing is too much trouble for her.

Rosie describes the property as a “mad old house” and the layout is indeed slightly quirky, which gives it its charm. There are apparently plans to install a shower in the family bathroom as currently the only showers are in the two en suites - the extra shower will be great for larger groups.

Perfect birthday celebration!

We stayed at Newton Manor to celebrate my birthday and it was perfect to host a big group. The location was great, less than an hour from Edinburgh. The house was very comfortable, it had all the necessary utensils and appliances to cook our meals, we managed to have a fire indoors and outdoors and made use of the BBQ. It felt very private too as the garden was surrounded by trees. Falkland is a 20 minute walk where you can find a shop, a pub and lots of nature walks. Rosie was a fantastic host, she was always quick to respond to any queries and was extremely helpful and thoughtful. We would definitely go back for any other big group celebrations!

Lovely house and fab host

Beautiful home and Rosie is an amazing host who goes above and beyond for her guests. There was a basket of treats to eat and a drinks table setup for our arrival. The surrounding area was beautiful for walking. The garden was great for our teenagers and dogs to explore.

Super family weekend

Wonderful house to accommodate 3 generations of family. Games room was a wonderful surprise and used a lot 😁 Well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, beautiful rooms.

An extra separate shower would be useful, all showers are ensuite and you don't like to disturb.

Perfect home for a large group stay with a lovely, thoughtful host.

This is a great family property in a lovely location. Cosy and comfortable and had everything you need to have a great time away in a large group. Well appointed kitchen, huge dining room and large gorgeous lounge with an open fire (logs available from an honesty box in the garden) and even a little snug TV room. Beds were all very comfortable and the lovely host was very accommodating in making twins into doubles where needed. The piece de resistance though was the games room! Pool table, darts, karaoke and lots and lots of board games to choose from. Many fun hours spent in here as a family really made this holiday home special. Our host Rosie couldn’t have done enough for us - again making the holiday extra special. Lots of communication in the lead up to our stay and the thoughtful little touches in the welcome basket (such as haribos for the kids she knew were coming) were so appreciated. Truly excellent host.

The only reason we haven’t given it 10/10 is the bathrooms. Understandable that it’s Difficult to shoe horn bathrooms into a house of this age - and they have done the best they can. Fittings however aren’t great for instance the shower is hard to control

Huge! Easily absorbed our large group. Plenty of sofa seats and recreational rooms. Spotlessly clean for our arrival. Decorated for Christmas which was lovely. availability of logs for the fire was much appreciated and enjoyed. Host Rosie was super attentive and able to help with any queries we had right away

Great stay in a lovely house.

The house is amazing. Plenty of room for 5 couples and a dog. 15 minutes walk to Falkland where there are shops, coffee shops and pubs and good for walks. Rosie was a great host and her communication was prompt and very helpful.

We loved it - the house is very spacious and comfortable. Beds were comfortable and large living room and well equipped kitchen. Lots of room for us all. Wooded and country location. The kids loved the game room and karaoke machine. Very kind complimentary basket of goodies in kitchen.

The water pressure isn't high upstairs but to be expected in an older house.

Newton Manor House is a fantastic location to host a big family gathering. There was everything we needed and more. We really appreciated Rosie’s hospitality when we had to change our dates due to Covid. Falkland is a gorgeous town, the palace is a must do day out!

Large rooms, Fantastic place for socialising. Such a unique house The mix of older style furniture and modern was lovely to see. Excellent kitchen and large table for dining. Everything! When you enter the house it's even more grand than expected. More than enough room for a large group. Lovely secluded back garden with BBQ facilities and fire pit for cozy evenings which was set up for our arrival as I'd enquired about a BBQ. Communication with hosts was brilliant couldn't have asked for more. A purse was left behind and they kindly offered to post it signed delivery. I will definitely be back!

Not a complaint but only negative was more showers would have been good and water pressure is low so showering takes a little longer....not a bad thing! But it is what it is...a beautiful old house with more plumbing to go round! A minimal negative though as everything else was exceptional. Hosts were absolutely brilliant and the house is amazing. Would definitely recommend!
