The hotel provides breakfast vouchers to several very close cafes/restaurants and we selected Mensa about a two minute walk away. The options available were excellent and well worth the charge. The hotel is close to a lot of Auckland attractions and we will definitely be back.

Always a great stay at this hotel. We live up NOrth and enjoy spending a weekend in the centre of the city. We did ask for a room with a view but these were not available at the price we paid. It was my husbands birthday. Staff always very polite. The only comment would be that the reception area is looking a bit tired. Thanks we will stay again sometime.

The location was ideal for us attending the Wooden Boat Festival 5 minutes walk away. It is very handy to a number of quality cafes, restaurants and a small supermarket. It's also an easy walk to the ferry terminals, city shops and the train station, providing easy transport to (for example) Newmarket. Parking is right next door and once the car is parked we don't need to take it out until we leave.

I made this booking, as I always do, so it was disappointing to find the welcome letter addressed to my husband. It comes across as dismissive of me as a female. Several surfaces were very dusty and obviously hadn't been wiped in a while. The bed was poorly made in that one side of the bottom sheet was tucked in and the other side too short to tuck in. We had to remake the bed ourselves to avoid another night of the sheet tangling around us. This has not been our experience in the past so we know they can do much better.
