About this house rental
The Kraken house is a newly renovated and beautifully decorated 2 bedroom, 2 bath half duplex on a canal with dockage outside your door! This house has been professionally decorated and contains custom art throughout. You will love the tiled floors with open beam ceilings and spacious living areas. The new kitchen features a stainless refrigerator, dishwasher, stove and microwave and is well-equipped. The living room has a large flat screen TV along with sliders that open to a view of the backyard and canal. All the furnishings are new. This home reflects a passion for keys living and the water.
There are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a bonus sleeping area. The large master has a premium king mattress, a flat screen TV, and its own bath with walk in shower. The guest room has a new queen bed. In addition, here are two full sized bunk beds for additional sleeping between the bedrooms. The bunk beds are built into the hallway wall and feature; storage drawers for clothes, dimmable individual lights, power outlets, and USB charging ports. The bunks have pull curtains for privacy. The sofa also pulls out to a queen bed.
The canal side living room opens onto a patio with a table and a gas grill. Out back by the water is a patio with nice seating area. The backyard is east facing, with desirable afternoon shade. There is a step-down dock with 37.5' deep water dockage, a fish cleaning table, water, and electric. The canal directly opens to Vaca Cut and there is no need to navigate around KCB to get to the gulf.
There are 2 nearby ramps to accommodate most boats. The home has ample parking, plenty of room for a boat trailer and multiple cars. There is a storage room to stow your gear and a bait freezer for your use. Enjoy the fun of kayaking around Key Colony Beach in the 2 complimentary kayaks! The home is equipped with washer and dryer. There is Wi-Fi and a land line phone for local calls.
Key Colony Beach is a safe walking community. The sunset beach is around the corner and enjoyed every evening. Key Colony Inn and Havana Jacks are good local restaurants. The bait shop is on the main causeway. Sparky’s restaurant moved behind the Holiday Inn. Try the shrimp pizza!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It was a great location and great house. We brought our boat and it was a perfect setup to be able to fish anytime we wanted. Would recommend to anyone who wants to get away and enjoy the water.

Had a great time, we were down there for mini season. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t the best those two days but we sure still made the best of it. The house was perfect for everything we needed, definitely made some great memories. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in marathon.

We loved our stay. The home was stocked with everything that we needed. We felt right at home. We enjoyed morning and evening kayaking as well as just sitting outside enjoying the view. The walk to sunset beach for the evening singalong was east from the home. KCB is centrally located to everything so we enjoyed a visit to Key West, Pigeon Key (must visit), and the Dry Tortugas.
Other guests commented about the loud neighbors and we had a similar experience a couple of nights. We realized it’s because their TV was outside (basically a living room set up) and man, was it turned up. We didn’t let that deter from our fun though.
The Cabana Club was a highlight and we loved Bob and Chad. Spent a lot of time there relaxing and enjoying our family time.
