We stayed the week for Easter. The house was nice. Liked the location as we traveled up and down the keys for the week.

It can be hard to please a family of 4 especially two teenagers but after our week we all agreed that this vacation was in our top 3 places visited so far. Usually we drive around and find another place we would like to stay instead when we come back to the area. This was the first trip that didn't happen. The main thing we loved was the canal and the location. We saw a lot of wildlife in the canal manatees (two days), nurse sharks, lots of jellyfish, iguanas, and birds. We visited Sombrero Beach one day but all of us preferred the private beach at the Cabana Club. The location was perfect for riding a bike or walking to the club. We also loved taking the kayak out. Super close proximity to the wide open ocean. We didn't cook while there but the condo seemed fully stocked.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The location is beautiful, it is nice to have access to the beach club, there was lots of activity in the channel( manatees, rays, and fish) so the kids loved that. A few issues that’s might have been handled with a proper pre check in inspection. 1) the hot water heater was off needing to be reset— not a huge issue we are homeowners and know that things happen, but we realized this after hours on Saturday and it was difficult to get a response from anyone one lady told us to run the hot water in all faucets for ten minutes but it did not work and so we ended up waiting until the next day, and I had to walk through the fixing process with the property manager with repeated phone calls to get the issue managed. The lady we spoke to the evening before told us no one had been in the home for three days prior so simply checking that the light was on to the on demand hot water heater would have saved some hassle. 2- the knob in the master shower was disconnected and the lazy Susan cabinet door was off it’s hinges, again a simple inspection prior to check in would have caught these issues. Both were handled promptly by the property manager. 3- there were dirty dishes put away in the cabinets( pots and pans), the pull out couch when unfolded had food crumbs, pop corn kernels on it, it had clearly not been cleaned or changed. there was an empty beer car on the back porch next to one of the chairs.
