A short (but steep) walk up the hill from the village but we enjoy walking. Back yard was great with views over the countryside and we could bring a dog which was amazing. This is the downstairs unit so we could walk straight out to the back yard which was very private with hedges between the next door property.
Entry proved difficult as we were not advised that the door to this unit was around the back. Could not contact the host or company overseeing booking. Luckily the next door neighbour was able to ring the host and advised us to enter via the back yard (we are from Australia and when the instructions say to use the key code at the front door, that is what we tried to do). Another issue was the wifi. The password supplied, and also in the unit was incorrect. We had to contact the upstairs person who also had the incorrect password but on a “blackboard” it was correct. While the unit had been painted and modernised, the cupboards in the kitchen stunk of mould/mildew. Could do with some bicarbonate soda or damp rid to reduce this.
One other thing - no chopping board that we could find.

Lovely and cosy, had everything we needed. Short distance from town. Owner very helpful if we needed him.
Would have liked coffee, tea bags and sugar in the jars provided. And handsoap in kitchen. May be a welcome pack would be a nice touch.

Easy to collect keys. Good garden. Clean. Owner sounded nice on phone and went through parking and key pick up with us. Good basic Bosch oven and induction hob. Reasonably well equipped.
Own parking area on street which was the reason we’d booked the property not available when we arrived. For the price, we had expected budget accommodation but not damp. DAMP in kitchen. Terrible smell every time we opened a cupboard door or drawer. It was very unpleasant cooking in there. Bathroom shower very small. Grout needs replacing in shower at very least. Freezer is in a separate utility room and was off.

Flat was very comfortable & kitted out with everything we needed to enjoy our holiday. Loved the little utility room with freezer, washing machine, ironing board & iron. Very comfortable bed & pillows. Big double wardrobe so plenty of space for clothes with hangers & shelves. Lovely little garden with rotary to hang wet towels, costumes & washing, comfy garden furniture with parasol & 2 reclining chairs in the utility. Kitchen had everything needed to enable us to cook a few meals. Living room had a nice little sofa & armchair, free view tv, lots of little tables for putting your drinks on & we used them for eating a few meals in front of the tv but there was a good little extendable table with chairs if preferred. Lots of plug sockets. Did buy an extension so I could sit on bed & blow dry my hair in front of wardrobe mirror in bedroom. Nice bathroom with bath & powerful shower. Excellent location with handy well stocked Spar 1 min walk away.
Salcombe is really beautiful, fab little town, gorgeous beaches & amazing views. We walked to North Beach, had a coffee then walked on to South Beach & got the little ferry back to town most days. Fantastic! Oh & ate our body weight in ice cream too but with all the walking & hill climbing only put on 1Ib lol!!!
Luckily we are quite fit so the massive hills from the town, (whichever way you go & we tried every way) were manageable but very tiring.
Parking outside the property is a problem, the designated space was taken up most of our week & we luckily found a space round the corner but in holiday season I can see this being a pain.
We only used the second room for storing our case & shoes but did notice it had a damp smell.

Great location (we didn’t mind the walk up the hill), lovely garden which isn’t a common thing for a stay in Salcombe, bbq was a nice touch even though we didn’t use it, parking available, good facilities, comfy bedding, seemed to be freshly decorated, powerful shower.
Property felt a little damp (mainly at night) and maybe blackout curtains for the front bedroom.

Could not use the oven, property too far away from centre of town, there was no compost bin, door difficult to lock

Clean, tidy everything was fine.
Should have researched the location better, steep hills - not ideal if you’re walking/ don’t have a car!
A smart tv to
Use Netflix / own apps would have been great.

It was all lovely - It is at the top of the hill so you definitely need to be mobile- it was fine for us.

The garden was ideal for the dog and provided us with a nice view.
The spar is on the doorstep and very handy.
The house is on a nice quiet road and is well equipped.
The owner phoned in advance of our trip to confirm we could park on his drive and during the holiday to ask if everything was ok.
The house is on a hill and the climb is steep if walking but good for burning those extra calories consumed though yummy purchases in the very good bakery in Salcombe. (best almond croissants we have tasted)
The window in the double room is small and the foot board of the bed sticks out and catches your leg when walking past.

The host was fantastic, called a week prior to give us information about the property and local area. Was available mid-stay when we had questions and was all-round really welcoming and friendly. The property is exactly as described and for our stay was perfect.
The garden terrace had a great view and the faculties of the house were actually more than we expected with a utility room with a washing machine.
The beds were really comfortable, the living room had enough space for the two of us, and the kitchen was well stocked with bin bags and dishwasher tablets etc which can be an issue.
Off-road parking and local Spar shop made it a great retreat for bbq’s and relaxing after a day on the water or out exploring. On top of that this property was amazing value for money.
Overall a really great experience we would definitely stay here again.
This isn’t a negative comment as it was honestly great but if there were four of you the living space might be a little tight. Also location wise for people who don’t know Salcombe there are lots of hills to get down to the high street, but we had a parking space at Batson so allowed us to drive down. I think the value for money MORE than makes up for that though.

The flat was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. It looked newly painted and all the furniture including beds were in good order plus the garden with a nicely cut lawn was a real bonus.
No WiFi. It didn’t come up as an option when searching for it.

clean, nice garden, parking space and close enough to the town, we will definitely book again
The property was great, although it would have been nice to check in before 5pm on the arrival day.

The property was super clean and tidy. It has a very nice garden with brand new reclinable hammocks and a gas barbecue which works perfectly. Very nice host
