Poor

Location was ok. We never met the host. We were told that the key was already in the door ( outside, meaning that anyone could have helped themselves inside) four hours before we arrived in Koblenz. Unless you had stellar eyesight, the entrance was difficult to find unless you drove into the Hof using the building number as a guide. There was NO sign outside stating Vogel Apartments in Hof at the entrance. There was a car park outside the apartment which was good but the entrance looked unkempt and dirty. Opened the door and basically the apartment was an office dating back to the 1980s converted into a flat. The floor was clean but everything else was not. Dust and mould and dirt in the oven, fridge and shelves. Carpet worn and the TV had no instructions on its use. We had to ask the landlord for a vacuum cleaner ( very old and so dusty and dirty itself) . We left a day earlier ( only staying because we were meeting friends that evening who live in Koblenz) because we felt like this was a sublet office come doss house. Curtains were barely held up by cable ties. When we booked this place via booking.com, there was no mention of us having to clean this dump of an 'apartment'. We have two house trained dogs, no accidents, yet we were told AFTER checking in that, upon checkout, we would have to clean an apartment that was already filthy to begin with. So, once the vacuum arrived, we got to work...and left ourselves dustier than the apartment.

All of the above. The oven was the worst. At least the bed was clean changed and we had a roof over our heads with hot water. A lot of random floor ( empty office) space if you decide to host a house party plus sleepover.

Nice apartment

The apartment was very spacious and contained 3 single beds, a couch (that could easily fit a person), a fan, tv, kitchen. There were at least three sets of cutlery available and a coffee machine. The fridge was a bit musty and turned off when we arrived but we were able to turn it on. There were a lot of towels supplied which clearly smelled like they were freshly washed. Location was far from the old town, but with plenty of facility and restaurants available close by.

We didn't receive any information about the key handover prior to arriving at the flat. The "call business" button on Booking.com actually does not lead to the phone number of the owners. Therefore, you will need to manually dial in the number. You will need to bring your own body wash and shampoo (or go to the supermarket close by to stock up - but not on Sundays). The apartment had little dust bunnies in the corners.

Perfect location, especially if you bike

Very spacious, fully equipped kitchen including oven and cooking utensils and basic pantry items. Wonderful location a block from the bike path and easy 10 minute bike to the cable car and Fortress.

Was very hard to find the property, the parking terrace hidden, especially at night! Be on the lookout for 3 green arrows painted in the “tunnel” and a light bulb light with a tiny “P” for parking. But host was very responsive and helped us find it!

Quiet clean apartment in good location.

The apartment is spacious ,in a very quiet location ,convenient for town centre access,or the Rhine valley.There is an excellent nearby supermarket( Edeka) and parking in the courtyard. The kitchen is fully equipped- we had some excellent meals.There is a good washing machine,and plenty of household supplies. The bedroom has firm beds and good storage.There is good lighting,and reliable WiFi. The standard of cleanliness was very high.

Some simple repairs are needed- the bathroom fan does not work,the shower cubicle door needs adjusting,and the air conditioning is not efficient- I suspect it just needs a re-charge. The bed sheets are rough and uncomfortable- this was not a problem for me as I usually bring my own sheets and pillow.

Geräumige Wohnung, aber leider mit vielen Abstrichen

Wir hatten uns über die hundefreundliche Regelung ohne Aufpreis gefreut – das ist wirklich selten und lobenswert. Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr großzügig geschnitten und die Küche gut ausgestattet. Der Vermieter sehr freundlich.

Leider ist die Wohnung deutlich in die Jahre gekommen: Der Teppich im Wohnzimmer war so fleckig, dass wir ungern barfuß gingen, und das Badezimmer war neben der Duschkabine nicht sauber. Zudem befanden sich drei Einzelbetten im Wohnzimmer, die in der Beschreibung nicht erwähnt wurden – das hat die Wohnatmosphäre beeinträchtigt. Insgesamt fehlte leider das Gefühl einer gemütlichen Wohlfühloase.

Die Wohnung ist großzügig geschnitten und bietet viel Platz – besonders angenehm war die sehr gut ausgestattete Küche, in der es an nichts gefehlt hat. Insgesamt also eine gute Basis für einen Aufenthalt.

Die Wohnung hat grundsätzlich Potenzial, ist aber etwas in die Jahre gekommen und würde von einer Renovierung profitieren. Der Teppichboden im Wohnzimmer war leider sichtbar verschmutzt, was das Wohngefühl beeinträchtigt hat. Im Badezimmer hingen Kabel aus der Wand, und der Bereich neben der Dusche war nicht sauber.
