Valencia Luxury - Calma Beach Apartments

Bathroom: attractive and a nice shower but be aware of leaky shower door. Nice towels. Great hairdryer. Bedrooms: effective shutters to keep out light. Pillows are high so we all have creaky necks now. mattress is very solid but that worked for me. Nice size double bed. Decent amount of wardrobe space. Living area: lovely corner aspect but as on first floor, you can’t really open the nets. Everything you need - not sure if equipped well enough to cook as we didn’t. Handy big fridge. Rooftop area: very pretty and fab view. Pool not a pool, more like a big bathtub. Overall apartment: very effective air con- once we’d figured out how to use it. Great location- 10mins to beach, lovely cafe/restaurant, trams and busses right outside. BUT very busy area. Only quiet for a few hours in the night. Traffic seemed constant, big lorries or racing cars/bikes. I had to use my earphones to block some noise to try and get some sleep! Photos misleading- the patio and pool are rooftop- not part of the apartment but perfectly accessible. Also you’ll be asked for £100 damages deposit a few days before you go. My last point- this is a really nice apartment but it’s not luxury- that is definitely a misleading name!

Nice open view from the large windows. Nice space upstairs to sit out for a couple of hours.

Air conditioning was extremely poor and wasn’t blowing out anything even though it felt cold to touch. Didn’t cool the apartment at all when sunny so glad it wasn’t too warm. Poor amount and placing of plug sockets even for kitchen appliances. We had the toaster in the bedroom. And door rattles which was super annoying at night so wedged the door every night with 3 pieces of cardboard. Also terrible smell on all the hallways.

The location was great, and the apartment was spacious.

However, the fridge and washing machine were not functioning. I had to take my clothes wet, as no solution was offered by the rental. Instead, they suggested I use a nearby laundromat at my own expense.
