Lovely modern cottage style accommodation. Perfect base for playing golf in the area.

Host provided milk, fresh eggs, local cake and bottle of fizz which was greatly appreciated. Good instruction folder there too.

We just missed having a local pub that we could walk back from. Eating and drinking places were a short drive away.

Exceptional

The Smiddy House ist a pure gem. In the middle of the Perthshire countryside its a great spot to start all your daytrips from. The house gives a homey feeling, has everything you can possible need and was super clean. An amazing bonus were the delicious welcoming gifts of the host. With whom the communication was really easy. We would totaly recommend staying there. We had a lovely stay!

Very enjoyable and relaxed.

Beautiful house, lovely location, central for what we needed. Host was very accommodating for everything including when we asked for an extra night. Eggs, jam and prosecco was a welcome gift.

wonderful modern country cottage

Wonderful cottage in immaculate condition in quiet village near to Auchterarder and Crieff .Modern decor and furnishings ..Exceptionally clean . Very well equipped with lovely rear patio with table and furniture . Excellent large cooking range Large smart TV in lounge and master bedroom . Lovely touch of welcome Prosecco , free range eggs and local jam ! Would love to come back !

Most enjoyable stay in one of the best self-catering properties we have stayed in!

Three adults staying together - we loved the cottage - it was great to have the two shower rooms. I would certainly stay here again and have no hesitation in recommending it to others

We stayed at Smiddy Cottage in a spell of exceptionally hot weather - our only complaint was the duvets, they were beautifully warm but not suited to the extremely hot spell!!

As mentioned before, the photos on Booking.com don't do the house justice.. a lovely 2 bedroom house in a small hamlet.. very clean and well equipped.. Great location for getting to local towns or the Gleneagles Complex.

Countryside Hideaway

Quiet countryside location, but only a few minutes from the nearest town for essentials and takeaway. Lovely clean modern house. Very comfortable accommodation.

Great House

What wasn’t to like? It is spacious and comfortable with lots of natural light. The whole house felt as if it had just had a major renovation. Very well appointed kitchen with cutlery, crockery, glasses, mugs and appliances. Huge comfortable bedrooms with a nice hill view and lovely big bathrooms. Patio dining was available but most days the weather was not conducive to it. Very good WiFi. Big television in the lounge and a small one in each bedroom, all of which had access to satellite channels. Excellent property and one I’d definitely stay at again. Thank you so much for providing a wonderful home from home.

Aside from the fact I can’t buy it, the downstairs bathroom window faces the front of house and isn’t frosted so passers by could see in. There is a roller blind in place to prevent that from happening but it diminishes the natural light. To be honest I’m nit picking though. It’s very hard to find fault here.

Wish I knew about this sooner!

We received a lovely welcome gift. The house was spotless and so much larger than expected (the photos really don't do it justice). We had all wee needed in the house, cleaning products, cooking utilities, toilet roll, towels, everything that you need for your stay they have it. I would recommend coming here if you drive, there is a 2 car driveway and garden is beautiful. There is a seating area around the back. I would highly recommend, this house was beyond my expectations.

Everything. Amazing house. Modern but cosy and comfy. Every amenity you could ask for. Extremely comfy beds. A bottle of prosecco on arrival which was a lovely touch. Didn't want to leave.

Very relaxed break in a lovely property, would highly recommend and would love to return again.

Beautiful, spotlessly clean house stocked with all the amenities you could need with large bedrooms and extremely comfortable beds. Very spacious open plan living and dining area with a lovely wood burning stove (wood can be bought from the well stocked local co-op in nearby Auchterarder. Excellent location very close to Gleneagles and Crieff with the dual carriageway only a few miles away if you wanted to travel further to Perth or Glasgow.

The only very minor point would be to put a mirror in each of the bedrooms.
