Not enough parking as friend visited and therefore 2 cars to park. Only had space for one car in front of balcony. Space at side of lodge 4 was taken - owner of lodge 3 had one of his vehicles parked there - a black camper van - told me the owners of lodge 5 were away for 3 weeks and my friend could park on the other side of lodge 5 which she did. Every other lodge on the park seemed to have parking for 2 cars alongside their lodge as well as space for a car to park in front of the balcony. The owner of number 3 who lives there permanently had placed storage units, a small plastic greenhouse and a freestanding bird feeder in his parking area to the side, effectively reducing the space for him to park there to room for one vehicle which he did park there - a silver SUV. In the end there was enough parking for my requirements, but lodge 4 sleeps 6 and if 2 cars of friends had been visiting this would be a problem. It would also have been a problem if someone was towing a caravan and wanted to park that there if they were stopping in the lodge for a night or more. I am not clear why owner of lodge 3 was parked over in that space anyway - when I first met him he said he was checking lodge 5 to make sure everything was alright, but it is not clear to me how this involved him requiring to park one of his vehicles there! I think the owners of lodge 4 should be made aware of the potential problem for visitors that one small parking space in front of the balcony is not sufficient. I suspect that the area for 2 cars at the side is also the parking for no 4 but owner of no 3 has just taken it for himself knowing that a visitor like myself will know no better and believe whatever he tells them! Please pass this information on to the owners as this would put me off booking again as the whole point for me coming to Auchterarder is so that friends from Crieff can come and stay and I wouldn't want this inconvenience again and therefore would not book here again.

Perfect location.
We loved the lodge. It was clean, plenty of room to move about. The location was perfect. Great hub for touring about. Everything within easy distance of the lodge. The neighbours were nice too. All in all, it's a great place to stay. We would certainly come back again.

This was the first lodge stay I’ve had where we contemplated going home the first night. It felt like living in someone’
The shower worked fine, wifi seemed steady until you watched a movie. Lots of space in the lounge/kitchen area. Master bed was comfortable. Fresh towels/linen provided, almost brand new towels.
The place didn’t seem like it had been cleaned properly. The floors and windows were grubby, there were marks on the wall behind the cooker, in the toilet and on the cutlery. There was no washing up liquid and there was half eaten food left in the fridge and cupboards, most notably Bisto that went out of date 11 months ago. The TV was on when we came in so we thought someone had just went and hid when they noticed we pulled up outside. Clean the place, it’s so uncomfortable.

it was very easy to find and easy access with the key box at the door. lovely and comfortable inside, very spacious for a family of 5 with added advantage of 2 bathrooms.
liked everything about the property. on arrival we found lots of food left from previous rental in freezer. baking tray left in oven unwashed and couple of bins hadn’t been emptied that was the only downside.

Bit of a smell of dampness, lights in dining room really dirty & hairs on the underside of the bath mat which wasn't good. Also, no hot water for a bath. Just needs a little more attention to detail.

this was our first family trip with parents and a 2 yr old
property was clean, but the heating was a major disappointment!! there was absolutely no heating when we got into the property and was freezing cold, it took us nearly 2hrs to sort the heating. the owner was available on phone but its a shock that heating wasnt ready in advance, and last time heating was on in the property was 5 days back( according to the owner). luckily neighbour was helpful enough to sort us out
secondly the double room was a mess as there was some leak (from somewhere on the carpet), which means carpets were damp and very difficult to walk!
Again poor maintenance by the owners! i will not suggest this property based on the inconvenience we had

Lovely chilled out stay
We had a lovely time at the lodge, it was clean with lovely decoration throughout. It felt peaceful and with Auchterarder town along the road where we found a lovely cafes and a visit to Drummond Gardens and Scone palace, it was great. We will be back again.
We did need the car to get about but I am sure there would have been bus stops near if we wanted to go for a drink in town or a taxi service. But nothing we didn’t like, perfect stay.

Lodge was clean and is well looked after. The bed linen white and crisp and the towels were clean and soft. Lodge had cleaning equipment and toilet roll supplied. Site is small with 12 lodges. Larger site across the road where our family stayed with the kids and dog, only a minutes walk.
The bed was a bit on the small side and traffic noise can be heard from the bedroom at night

There was a terrible stench of fish and we thought it was the electrics. Also under the pull put bed was an old dirty sock. Apart from that had a lovely stay
