Central, modern and peaceful, lovely Cathedral views, two-bed apartment with 40" smart TV & free onsite parking

Great location. Onsite secure parking. Convenient having 2 bathrooms with 2 couples.

The beds were very low. The shower cubicle was overflowing the water not draining very quickly.

Location was excellent with a secure car parking space. The host was very accommodating. Apartment was well equipped, clean and spacious.

Nothing at all.

For us it was situated in a good position as we are really happy to walk up the steep hill. It has 2 reasonable sized bedrooms & a good sized lounge. One bedroom had an en-suite & there is a separate bathroom. There was coffee & tea left at the property which was nice. There was a lift which was good for our friends as they struggled with stairs.

It took us half an hour to gain entry to the property as for some reason we hadn’t received the photos showing the position of the lock box which was in an unexpected place. Also the parking place wasn’t numbered so even though we could guess which one it was we didn’t want to park without being sure as there was signage saying you would be clamped. The biggest problem for me was the horrible smell. It was like a stale smoke or damp smell which I really didn’t like at all. It wasn’t very peaceful at night as there must have been either a nightclub or music venue fairly near as the music was still playing at 1am which wasn’t great. The cooker was really not clean so therefore unusable unfortunately & I didn’t want to clean it so we ate out I do have photos if you would like to see them. I had to clean the microwave before we used it as that was also not clean. The windows were dirty on the inside & there was some quite dusty surfaces none of which we expected to be honest. The bedding although comfortable was completely creased which was a shame as a little iron wouldn’t have gone amiss. The bed in one of the bedrooms was very low down & so we took that room as our friends found it difficult to get out of.a real shame as with a bit of care this could be a great venue but unfortunately we wouldn’t stay again
