Philstay Myeongdong Boutique Female

Stayed in a 4 female bunkbed room on the 2floor. Bed is spacious with curtain &charging points. Location is the reason i chose this hostel. Its 2 mins walk to Myeongdong subway station and Limousine bus stop to Incheon airport is 5 mins walk across the main road. The famous Myeongdong shopping street is also across the main road! 15 mins walk to cable car station to Namsan Seoul Tower. 20 mins walk to Old Seoul station. Any place further you take the subway. McDonalds and 7 eleven is very nearby. Room is air conditioned, it helps during the hot humid summer weather. There are 3 cubicle shower room & 2 toilets on 2nd floor.

No storage for big suitcase inside the room. Big suitcase has to be left outside the room in a corner place or downstairs in the hallway. Store your daily usage stuff in your bed chamber. Shower area has no dry area for changing . Clean towels provided are too small like face towel size but you can take 2-3 pieces to use for body drying 😁. No window in the room, so cant ventilate . Would be nice to have some freshener to freshen up the small commune area, room & shower room. Free breakfast is just toast with Jam/ peanut butter and instant coffee/tea.

The location is GREAT! A small compact hostel just for sleeping. No community hang out area. Hostel is 2 mins walk from Myeongdong exit 4 subway station, very convenient to move around . Myeongdong shopping street is very nearby. There's McDonalds, Olive Young store ,7 eleven ,small convenient stores and chinese/ Korean eateries nearby. Bed area is large enough to store some personal things. Bed has curtain for privacy and few charging points. The bus stop for limousine bus to Incheon airport is 5 mins walk.

Big luggages unable to store inside the room coz room is tiny. Most of big luggages are left on the hallway on the ground floor There are individual locker storage for a price. There is no dry area for changing after shower. Towels provided are small- like M size facetowel 2 pieces. Have to dry your whole body with that. Need to organized your daily usage of stuff and store it in your bed area.

Good location, Myeongdong shopping district is across the street. They leave a passcode on the door for self check in if you are arriving late at night. There is a storage space under your bed for your suitcase. Lockers on the ground floor if you need to store luggage for longer. Two bathrooms that were quite clean, one just has toilets and the other has toilets and several showers. Your bed has power plugs, a coat hanger, two towels, slippers and a basket you can take to the shower. There is a washing machine and dryer that you can pay to use. In the hallway, there are stations with mirrors and hair dryers for you to sit and dry your hair or do your makeup. Water dispensers on each floor. Luckily, I was in a room with considerate people that didn’t make much noise. Overall, a decent place for a short stay.

Rooms were very secure and comfortable and had good storage space. The location is super convenient and easily accessible to center Seoul. The beds were spacious and had sufficient privacy curtains that blocked out all the light from roommates.

The bathrooms were quite small and cramped, which made it difficult for more than 3 people to use the bathroom at one time. They were also super messy and gross (probably no fault of the staff - just the people staying there didn't clean up after themselves). The kitchen/check in area is also very tiny, and there simply isn't enough space for that many people to be boarding at once. I was glad to only be there for 2 nights.
