Well Plus Guest House

If you book Well+ Guesthouse please be aware of what you are booking. We booked this for a 3-night stay in Seoul and were under the impression it was a hotel. This was not the case. There is no front desk and no staff. It is a collection of individual rooms on the 3rd floor of tower block, with a small communal breakfast area, which you self check-in to. As we were expecting a hotel we were disappointed. However if you know what you are booking you are likely to be happy with your stay. The property is close to Seoul Tower and a subway station. One of the night markets is on the other side of the main road and there are lots of food options around the area. The room is small, but this is Seoul and space will come at a premium. Breakfast is a help yourself affair. In the breakfast room there is bread, jam, peanut butter, 1x type of cereal, milk, and tea and coffee sachets. There is a kettle and a toaster with which to make your breakfast. If you have questions and queries, the staff are quick to respond to any messages you send.

We had a really good experience at well plus west house, is very well located, near to the station and many stores. We slept perfectly because it was not noisy around, the bed was comfortable, and we had air conditioner. The staff is very kind, always responsive and looking forward if we needed something. We really hope we can go back again soon!!! Thank you very much.

Location: Right in Myeongdong! So easy to shop and eat out, even at midnight. Transport: Super close to the underground station, and the airport bus goes right to Myeongdong, making arrival and departure a breeze. Good location and quiet

I’ve been traveling for 18 months to 55 countries, and this was one of the worst places I’ve stayed at. The bed was squeezed between two walls, so I could only just fit when lying on my back—sleeping on my stomach wasn’t possible. I ended up sleeping on the single bed. The towels were the size of face cloths, which I’ve never encountered before. The TV had no English channels, despite being advertised in English on Booking.com as having a flat-screen. Presumably one that is usable. The owner responded that they don’t cater to foreigners, only Korean-speaking guests. What made the experience worse was the aggressive attitude of the owner/manager. After a long discussion, he eventually agreed to install a device so the TV could access YouTube, but by then the overall experience had already been quite frustrating. My suggestion is to book the excellent alternatives in the area at similar prices.
