Suite Apartament Cathedral

Charming, clean, comfortable and a great location! It was perfect for our needs! Highly recommend!!!

Very central location to landmarks, restaurants & shopping. Spacious apartment with everything you need. We took advantage of the washing machine in the apartment and the clothesline on the rooftop to dry clothes fast. Also enjoyed the nice private patio on the roof with views of the top of the cathedral.

It could be a bit more updated. The electrical outlet behind the futon seemed a bit unsafe and there was a box in the corner that had wires coming out. We noticed it more because the futon was used as a bed for my young son and when laid flat, is obvious.

Manager met us right on time. The location was excellent - near the cathedral on a very quiet street - best thing about the apartment. The manager responded quickly when we thought the washing machine was broken which was appreciated. It was a big space and the living room furnishings were in good condition as was the kitchen and bathroom. The apartment was clean.

EDIT 2 - the 180 Euro damage fee disappeared after we filed a formal complaint with photos with Booking.com. If you read the owner’s response you’ll see he never addresses the most serious problems - broken door, unusable terrace we paid for, uncomfortable beds. Instead he comes up with a few minor problems and uses AGEISM to blame us for being unhappy. We are not unsavy tech users by any means and the problems with the flat we noted were not related to technology issues. They’re problems anyone of any age might have had. EDIT 1. A COUPLE OF HOURS AFTER THIS REVIEW WAS POSTED WE WERE NOTIFIED BY BOOKING.COM THAT THE OWNERS CLAIM WE DID 180 EUROS WORTH OF DAMAGE TO THE FLAT. SINCE WE LEFT MORE THAN SIX DAYS AGO THE TIMING OF THIS DAMAGE CLAIM IS CLEARY TIED TO THIS NEGATIVE REVIEW WHICH HAS MY NAME ATTACHED TO IT. WE HAVE TIME STAMPED PHOTOS OF THE FLAT AS WE LEFT IT. WE WILL WIRK THROUGH THIS, BUT ARE THESE FOLKS YOU WANT TO DEAL WITH? WILL EDIT LATER WITH OUTCOME. The apartment was clean and kitchen well furnished but general maintenance and thoughtfulness were lacking in many small and larger ways. The inside door lock handle was missing (!) and the building manager only fixed it after we asked him too. Getting back into the flat always felt like a crapshoot. The private rooftop terrace that comes with the flat was such a mess that the manager locked it after showing it to us. So that’s not really part of what you’re paying for! Folks with ENVIRONMENTAL SENSITIVITIES BEWARE - After he left we both started to get headaches from a powerful chemical floral oder throughout the apartment, not a problem we typically have. We found 3 individual, 3 column oil diffusers plugged into various socket that we dismantled. It took over a day for the smell to dissipate. The mattress and bedding were uncomfortable and need to be replaced. The towels were threadbare. For us the flat was just not relaxing or enjoyable to be in.
