Layout of home and proximity to beach. Home was clean. Had all the necessities.

Had trouble getting inside. The access code and internet information sent were incorrect. Customer service responded promptly. Took less than 40 mins to resolve the issue.

The house is GREAT. It's definitely well-loved, but it's comfortable and clean. Not even a speck of dust on the baseboards! You just feel like you're at home. There's a bookshelf available with different genres and I even dug around and found the guest books.. There's a beautiful 180° ocean view in back, and even a beautiful view from the front porch/kitchen sink! We didn't get around to sitting on the front porch, but you could see the marshlands with the city view behind it. Very pretty at night. You don't get a sunset view over the marsh bc of a house blocking it from across the street, but the skies are so pretty anyways! Very private beach - you have neighbors but there's literally no one else. You are well away from the public accesses that are highly trafficked. At high tide, you could just about sit on the bottom step of the dune walkover and let the water touch your feet. Pretty neat There's a shower outside that you can use. There is A LOT of space under the house - like the "garage" area. Lots of parking. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you'd need for your stay. The stove cooked well, there were like 3 different coffee pots to choose from, and the dishwasher worked! Even the cook has an amazing view! The beds were comfy and all the facilities were great. The jetted bath tub is deep and the hot water heater must be huge bc it kept up with filling the tub just fine. The button to get the jacuzzi tub going is a little finnicky but it works! That water pressure in the shower was AMAZING. There were beach chairs and bikes (locked with a bike lock) there that seemed like we could use them but we never did because we enjoyed the back porch when whole time. Even when it was raining, we pulled the rocking chairs into the screened in porch area and hung out.

The house was fairly clean.

The issue we had with the property was that the private beach entry did not exist. It was apparently broken off in a storm prior to January 2024 based on some Vacasa reviews I found. This means that the ad for this home was deceptive as this happened pre booking and the page was not updated to explain this. I would not have booked this beach house if I had known. Apparently people get a call the day before their trip about this but we did not. We got ready to go to the beach and then the steps just drop off a good 15 feet. This was a huge hazard with me carrying all the bags, toys, etc. and my 3 year old is walking alongside me. We ended up getting a 25% refund but after finding out that this had happened pre booking, I’m pretty upset that that’s all we got. We ended up using the public entrance to the beach a ways down the road.
