Villa Zefyros

The villa is extremely well-equipped. There was an excellent welcome pack and the outside of the villa provides a wonderfully secluded and private area. Throughout the day there is a choice of sunny and shaded zones in which to relax and unwind. The views over the Akamas and out to the sea are stunning. Keith and Wendy are very supportive hosts, and provided some fascinating insights to the local history and wildlife. We used the villa as a base for some very long walks, and it was the perfect location to relax after each walk. The large array of channels available on the entertainment system was a fabulous bonus. If we ever plan to visit the Neo Chorio area again then availability of this villa will be the first thing we will check.

I want to say that Keith & Wendy are great hosts who are always ready to help. The villa is in an excellent location with great view. We will gladly come back for more.

1. Firstly amazingly hospitable hosts. Retired UK couple who live nearby and cannot do enough to help. Its been a difficult year with changing rules, flight cancellations, extra tests etc. but Keith and Wendy remained communicative, flexible about cancellations, refunds, happy to lets us arrive early and in the middle of the night and stay extra on departure - all at no extra charge. They are able to recommend the best restaurants and nearby places to visit and getting tests for returning home. Could not have asked for better hosts. 2. It is quiet, unspoilt, mainly a Cypriot-own holiday destination so few Brits, Germans etc. with a nice harbour, restaurants, bars, supermarkets 5 mins drive away (car essential). 10mins drive to get to Polis the main town with everything you could need including even an Escape room! Boat rental/watersports are great but also area is known for sand buggy rentals and safaris over the Akamas hills . Also extensive quiet beaches, most with turtle nests. Great snorkeling. 3. Villa is amazing - secluded and private - villa is at the end of cul-de-sac in a gated community, corner plot and neighbouring properties have been empty for some time, lovely views & infinity pool, planted grounds, multiple sun decks including the best kept secret - the roof deck with picnic table with 360 deg views over surrounding land, sea and mountains. Well equipped kitchen/bbq and lots of nice touches such as all light switches are labelled, cool box for trips away, dvds, snorkels, lilos, pool balls. Most useful thing on arrival very generous fridge selection of milk, butter, bread, wine, ham, bacon, cheese, fruit, tea, eggs, jam, coffee, oil etc. no need to rush to the supermrket - much more generous than the usual "welcome basket". Three bedrooms each with own AC and bathrooms. One bedroom is on the ground floor. 4. Very nearby village of Neo Chorio is lovely with a few locals' bars and great food and mosaic workshop...

1. As in keeping with plumbing standards in Greece, Turkey etc., you cannot put toilet roll down the toilet and this gets placed in a bin. You soon get used to it. 2. It can get very windy at times - at night it can blow ocasional late night party noise from some very distant villas or even the town below. Sun umbrellas need to be put down or they blow away. The wind is also a godsend since it it very hot - most days around 34- 36 deg so a cooling breeze welcome. 4. You do have to work a little to work a little to find sandy beaches - area is mainly pebbly but there are many beaches wihtin a 20-30 min drive and these are very quiet with a lot of choice of free beaches as well as paid ones. 5. It is a steep drive up - as is typical with hilltop based villas but grounds itself are flat and should be fine for wheelchairs and small children.
