Paradise Latchi Villa

The house has real wow factor when you arrive. Very light, spacious and airy. Comfortable beds and sofas lots of dining areas inside and out. Modern minimal aesthetics. Near to 2 excellent restaurants and short walk to the beach and slightly linger but manageable stroll into latchi. On very hot days we used the car to drive into town. There is plently of parking. You can see the sea from the villa which is lovely and the roof terrace was a nice find though there is no furniture up there. Air con and wifi works really well and every room has big glass patio doors. Koula was incredibly welcoming and helpful when we needed a few things and did what she could. Always on hand and quick to respond to all our requests. Ample clothing storage and hangers which was great as often there are few. Pool was cleaned during our stay and the guys who came very polite. We cooked lots on the BBQgrill , just be aware it's done differently out here, but we sussed the various rods and BBQ equipment in time and cooked some great locally sourced meat and fish and enjoyed many a fun family feast. Good sunbeds and umbrellas. Pool is really great. Over all really lovely. We had a great stay.

These are little niggles but did impact on the overall impression of the house a little. For such a lovely house some minor up keep is needed. The washing line/airer was not in a good state. Koula helpfully got us more pegs but it was a challenge hanging washing. A light needed fixing and this was done for us after a couple of days. Some fixings need looking at in the bathroom.. small towel rail is loose. Socket location could be better thought out in bedrooms. But we often find this in holiday properties. Property would benefit from some hooks in rooms. The villa is the first on the street so near to road but this didn't really bother us. But may be a factor for others.

Excellent outdoor facilities. Pool fabulous. Had both dining area and relaxing area on terrace in shade. Car port to keep car cool. 5 star outdoors

Dishwasher and washing machine provided but no washing powder or tablets for either. Dishwasher required salt and rinse aid. No wash basket and very few pegs.

The space was generous and the pool was larger than many. The local key-holder was a sweetheart - she even lent us her smart tv to make up for the shortcomings of the Greek-only, basic channel tv provided by the owners. Good variety of outdoor seating areas. Location really suited us.

If your idea of a luxury villa is staying home for repairmen (6 times), shopping for household basics and laying on sun-rotted loungers watching the pool slowly go green, then this place is for you. Broken bed base, broken dishwasher, electrical problems, pool problems, sun bed problems, basic supplies missing - adequate number of glasses, batteries for remote control, functional bottle-opener, chopping board and more. Major problems were eventually fixed, but why did we have to have to put up with them in the first place?
