Lovely situation but mixed feelings

The property was very clean, good shower, superbly comfortable bed. Towels and tea towels provided. Nicely quiet. Plenty of hanging space, good hair dryer. Good heated towel rail.

The living room/kitchen is very dark and would benefit from a lamp for reading. The sofa is very uncomfortable at the back because of movable cushions. There is no storage for any food taken and the fridge is not cold enough. I had to throw a lot of salad and fruit away after only four days. The tv in the lounge requires retuning as does not support any bbc chanels. The sound from the tv is also poor probably due to the acoustics with little soft furnishings. The hot tub is not suitable for older people as it does not have handles and is too slippery when climbing in or out. There is no ‘seat’ when climbing in. This was a big disappointment as obviously included in the cost but unusable.

The only thing missing is a washing machine! But then most people probably wouldn’t stay for periods where one is needed! 😁

A comfortable stay at The Dairy

The accommodation was as we expected from the pictures on the web site. The furniture was to a high standard and very comfortable. (We did notice the plywood under the sofa cushions to give the seating more support.) The Dairy welcome package was great~milk & Prosecco in the fridge and there were plenty of teas, coffees, sugar, hot chocs & jams in the container on the table 😊 Thank you. There were 3 toilet rolls & 2 kitchen rolls~very thoughtful! The hot tub was amazing! With The Dairy being situated in the corner of the 4 cottages, I didn't feel exposed. Matt came round discreetly every morning to check it was ok. The garden trail amongst the fruit trees was very well thought out & done~we noticed different things every time we took a wander! We even sampled a couple of delicious apples. Matt & his father were both very friendly. They were happy to chat & Matt helped us when we inquired about getting to Liverpool by sending links via text, despite being a busy man. We met the alpacas, ducks, chickens & friendly goats too. A proper Guest Book would have been a useful addition as there were only a couple of pieces of paper in the cottage's welcome pack with no room to add our comments. It's always nice to see where previous guests have ventured, what they've liked/discovered etc.

Unfortunately, the cottage was a little dusty in places~the seats of the chairs that hadn't been sat on previously & the rungs on all the chairs. We could see this as we were sat on the sofa with the daylight picking this up. The horizontal wood on the bathroom door was also very dusty~obvious whilst sat on the loo. As with most showers, there was some mold. A summer weight duvet would have a nice option, as we picked a very hot week. Our one was very warm & heavy. The fan in the bedroom was a nice thought tho!

A slice of heaven

This place is a gem . Its so clean everything you need is there also little activities for children and some things for the children to do games, colouring. There's a little apple Orchard you can sit and have picnic pick apples to take home. The bed was amazing so comfortable . Everything was of high standard . And clean. The ppl were friendly and dont interfere but there if you needed anything. Not far from pubs shops zoo and shopping . Its so peaceful. The hot tub is amazing. A proper hot tub none of these ones from the range lol. Had a Chinese delivered it was amazing was really hot when it arrived. Will definitely be bk.

Nice weekend break, great location for Chester. Would happily recommend!

Good space, nice and clean. Had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Would recommend to family and friends. The hot tub was very nice to relax in of an evening.

Cushion back sofa, just me being picky, I don't like them and don't find them very comfortable.

Beautiful place

Absolutely enjoyed my 2 day away here so cosy everything u need couldn't ask for anymore, I have booked again for April. the orchard had wooden carving statues which tells a story of a small dog absolutely beautiful place so relaxing just what we needed, and an evening in a hot tub can't complain, deffo recommend see you in April can't wait.

beautiful property in an amazing location. we couldn’t work out how to turn the hot tub temperature down and the owners were round straight away to help.

Few days away

Beautiful well kept cottage and absolutely spotlessly clean and well equipped . Well located for everything Chester has to offer . Hot tub was a added bonus .

Loved everything but a clothes horse would of been useful to put wet towels on .

Our stay was very enjoyable.

Small touches like the Prosecco, milk etc left for us was really nice. Hot tub was spotless as was the accommodation. Information provided of things to do in the local area was much appreciated.

The bed was slightly uncomfortable, too hard. The curfew for the use of hot tub at 10pm seemed to early however could be understandable for louder guests.

Great relaxing getaway

Lovely little cottage. Great hot tub. Everything was thought of by the hosts - lots of little touches. Set in the idyllic countryside but not far from lots of attractions.
