Warm-hearted and friendly bungalow in Koh Yao Yai

Nice and cozy set of bungalows in a garden. My bungalow was spacious and gave views to the garden. The owner is a lovely lady with her family that also tends to the minimarket on the street side. She was very patient and helpful with me, even when I managed to lose a key for the rented motorbike and she had to call a locksmith and come pick me up. She also provides pick-up from the pier at a very reasonable cost, rents cheap scooters for guests, and includes a complimentary local breakfast plate daily. The place is located on the main road of the island, so about a 5min ride to the northern village and 20min to the south. Overall this is a great value place, if you are looking for a modest, cost-effective and kind-hearted local place to stay at.

The property doesn't have a pool or access to a beach, but there are plenty of pretty beaches all over the island, so rent a scooter and discover them all!

Best place to stay in Koh Yao Yai. High recommendation 😊🩷

Best owner ever! Really she took care about us and about everything - she made everyday delicious breakfast and drove us from the pier and to the trip. She is so nice and she cares so much about the place 🩷 You have everything at the place - breakfast, water to drink and fully equipped shop. The bed was really comfy and we slept like babies all 6 days. You can rent the scooter and buy the all day trip at the property. It is full service 🫶 Definitely we will be back again when we will be at Koh Yao Yai.

Highlight of my trip so far

Really helpful staff who picked me up and took me back to the pier on my departure. For a small fee of course but that's fine. They threw in a free breakfast so can't complain. There was a scooter there waiting for me to hire which I did for the day and went out to Laem Had beach. I would say that was the highlight of my stay. Had an excellent meal just down the road at the Seaside Restaurant. The food was outstanding and it came with the most amazing view.

It is right on the main road so it was a struggle to get much sleep with trucks and scooters passing constantly.

The host was extremely great! The place was perfectly clean. Host offered good price for taking us from and to the port. Scooter was also fine, she has a shop with everything you need next to the place. We also had free breakfast and great Santa Claus gifts during our check in. 9.9/10

Everything is OK :)

I had a pleasant stay. The Thai-style breakfasts were tasty, and it was convenient to rent a scooter directly from the host. There’s also a small shop next door run by the host. A port transfer is available for an extra fee. It was also possible to book a massage, which was a nice option. Overall, a good and practical place to stay.

I had a few issues: there was a slight sewage smell in the bathroom, and leaving food in the room wasn’t possible because small insects appeared quickly.

Was an a absolutely lovely stay from the accommodation that was clean tidy and cozy the host was also amazing as she brought us breakfast every morning and helped us out with transportation to and form the beach and booked and took us to the pier for our ferry lovely place to stay and a lovely host would definitely stay again and recommend to friends

We had a perfect stay in this place, we were welcomed by warm hosts that served us a welcome drink, we even had a breakfast in the morning (that wasn't mentioned in the booking). The room was very clean and spacious, it had a smart TV which was a great addition. We loved the tiny terrace with chairs to rest after a big day of exploring the Island. The location also good, 5 minutes by scooter to a 7-11.

The staff here are super lovely, they picked us up and dropped us back off at the pier for a reasonable price. The bungalows are really nice and have everything you need in them. Every morning there was a small traditional breakfast waiting outside for us which was a lovely touch. The beach closest to the bungalow isn't the best but there is a pool you can use if you spend money at the restaurant and also easy to rent a scooter to go around the island. Would definitely recommend staying here

I would like to thank the staff of this accommodation very much. We stayed here for 2 nights during Christmas Eve and it was nice. We felt comfortable. The hotel is new. Staff prepared for us the breakfast although it wasn’t in price. The island itself is beautiful. Too bad about the garbage and you have to remember that the island is Muslim.

I had a food poisoning while I was staying, and the hosts took care of me by bringing me water and food! Im so grateful for that. They also gave me a ride to a couple of places during my stay. The room itself was spacious and clean.

The house is located near a busy street so it can be noisy at times. You can also hear the prayer calls to your room at 5am. And the rooster and fighting cats!

Lovely short stay and lovely hosts!

Staff were very attentive, they brought snacks/breakfast every morning. The room was big and had a lovely shower. Adorable kitten greeted us every time we returned to our room and slept on the patio :) We got picked up from the pier, staff arranged our boat to Koh Phi Phi and dropped us back to the pier. All went really smoothly!

Amazing time I spent in this bungalow and on the island, great staff

The staff was super kind. They picked us up from the ferry and also drove us there when we went home. They don't offer breakfast, but in the morning they brought always some kind of "breakfast" which was delicious and a very nice gesture. The staff was so friendly, they also took us around the island and showed us some great beaches. It was a great experience to spend time with them. I can only recommend that accommodation and would always go there again!

The rooms were great, clean and comfortable and the hosts are very social and nice. Excellent value for money. There was the cutest kitten ever hanging around the bungalows - please show her some love if you stay here!

The only improvement would be taking better care of the cats. The kitten was pretty much starving when we met her, her siblings had died and only tourists were feeding her. Still hoping to hear about her or get a picture of her :)

We really enjoyed our stay at klangbong. The room was perfect for us with a little veranda, where we could enjoy the evenings. wifi worked perfectly and so did the aircondition. Our host helped us with several things- picked us up at the harbour, helped us with scooters, and booked our transfer to kho Lanta. Thank you very much.

A relatively new place. In de main building two spacious rooms at the backside and a bungalow in the small garden. (Two more bungalows are almost finished) The roooms are spacious, wooden interior, a small kitchenette and a bathroom with good hot shower and toilet. The big bed is comfortable. There is soap, shampoo a föhn, things like that. The people are extremely nice and helpfull. They do their best to help you: you ask them about motorbikes transport and they can manage for you. In the morning they brought us snacks, when we returned in the afternoon they brought fresh coconut! In the front of the building is a shop: they have everything you need! In the room is a kettle with some tea/coffee. There is a fridge with water. Sitting in front of the room is 'cosy'. It is a small area, but you feel private (maybe your neighbors will pass) The chairs are 'comfy'. A motorbike is very useful to make a tour over the island. For sunrise there are three places nearby with their own atmosphere. For sunset you need to take the motorbike.
