It's a shame that the hotel owner is only concerned with his own income and doesn't care about the people.

Unfortunately, I was left with a very unpleasant experience after staying at this hotel. I tried to get into my room until 2:00 a.m. The card wouldn't activate, and the lock on my door didn't work. The woman and man on the 24-hour support line were irritated by my requests for help at night. I explained to the man several times that the door wasn't working, but he shouted and accused me of not understanding him, and then hung up on me. By 2:00 a.m., they offered me a hotel to stay the night at, a 20-minute drive away, which was completely impossible at night since I didn't have a car. As a result, the problem remained unresolved that night, and I had to spend the night in a friend's room (fortunately, not on the street). This kind of behavior towards customers is unacceptable, and I demanded compensation for moral and material damages. They told me it was hard to hear and I felt like they were being rude. I never saw a single hotel employee. I only sent messages to Booking.com. Luckily, a friend of mine arrived and explained my difficulties to the operators that morning. Not only did they refuse to refund me for the night of problems I had when I didn't sleep in the room, but they also refused to compensate me for moral and material damages! On top of that, the room smelled terribly, and there was no heat in the bathroom; it was as cold as a basement.

Good location, terrible checkin process

Very good location!

Single rooms are very very small. The checkin process is VERY confusing: please improve this. I made 1 reservation with 2 rooms and apparently had to filling 2 checkin forms and this was not correctly explained. Self-checkin is nice, but not this way. Explain it better before checking in (IN ENGLISH PLEASE) and have clear instructions (better than you have now) present at the checkin hall.

Problematic

Bookin process very complicated and poor. Needed to call 4 times in front of the entry Nobody available…. Check-in was made before in-time like expected from Hotel, but at the entry nothing good… Then the room was not ready for me I tried 3 more rooms with someone from personal during multiple calls. Need to improve please. Thanks for your efforts, but it was definitely bad.

Elevator didn't work. I understand it hasn't worked for a long time. Stairs are narrow and difficult. To carry luggage to the third floor was very difficult. No information about breakfast. No staff in sight anywhere.

A great little find in a the centre of a lovely town. Great value for money and no-frills stay.

This hotel is in a great location and has a nice feel. The self check in is easy and convenient and the hotel provides good information about parking etc. and a good breakfast which is included.

The single room is very tiny and would be hot in the summer. Being in the centre of town you will hear people and church bells. The windows block the noise out perfectly, but its something to be aware of.

Safe, secure bike storage in their “veloraum”, complete with tools, floor pump, chain lube and workstand! Outstanding!

Great little boutique hotel in the center of a fabulous old town.

Breakfast was nice, lots of choice and a plenty of time to go and eat. I love the location in the centre of town. I stayed in a double room by myself so I had plenty of room. Self-check was easy for me.

There was a bit of a smell in the hallway but it was gone the next day.

Beutiful hotel is in the center of town. Nice place, near Clock Tower, very clean, with plesent aroma smell in coridors, rooms, towells. Good breakfast, coffee-mashine awalable around a clock.. Good internet connection, so it was possible to work online. Good place to stay. I stay more than a week.

I like staying in this hotel, it was clean, authentic, very nice place in the center of town, a good breakfast. I stay for 5 days and it is great. I would recommend to stay there.

Very poor experience.

Nothing. We stayed in 35 accommodations, all 3 or 4 star, on this trip, and this was the worst.

The self-checkin might be OK when it works, but it didn't for us. It took 3 tries and help from a room cleaner who just happened to be nearby, and who opened the machine to unjam it before we got a key. In the process we had to call a number twice, the machine charged our card twice, and it took months and a lot of communication to get a refund for the second charge. The room was tiny - we had to live out of our suitcases on the floor for lack of furniture. A very poor value, and it is hard to see how this hotel rates 3 stars. I would call it one star. This ruined our stay in Alstatten.

the convenient location very close to the busstop and the friendly young man who gave me the key. die gute lage nahe bushaltestelle und der freundliche junge mann der mir den schlüssel gegeben hat.

it was by far the worst place i have ever stayed at. and even the comparatively cheep price was a rip off considering what i was offered. the lamp above the bed didnt have a lightbulb, the televivision didn’t work, the minibar was useless because empty and in the bathroom there was a small bottle of showergel that had already been opened. in the morning i had no possibility to make myself a cup of tea. as there was nothing to heat some water in. besides the stove didnt work. you may want to consider putting a bit more love and warmth in to the place.

Rasche telefonische Hilfe als der Check-in-Automat nicht funktionierte. Charmantes altes, aber schön renoviertes und gepflegtes Gebäude. Zimmer ausreichend gross und komfortabel, zweckmässiges Bad. Bequemes Bett. Alles einwandfrei sauber.

savonds na ergens eten kregen we geen toegang tot het hotel. Een half uur bellen met een of ander call center hiep niet. persoon aan de telefoon snapte werkelijk waar echt niet wat hij aan het doen was, hij gaf zelfs de indruk compleet onbekend te zijn met het hotel. De deur ging niet open, reactie: vraag even of iemand van de receptie open doet, er was helemaal geen receptie.... na schreeuwen en bonsen een medelogier wakker gemaakt en die heeft de deur open gedaan (savonds 22:00). vrienden die ook hadden geboekt, dubbele boeking waaronder een kamer die compleet in renovatie was (wasbak lag op blokken in de afgeplakte kamer) enzovoorts
