Recommend for location

Excellent location as far as accessibility to the Appenzell region and incredible hiking within 30 minutes. The room was very big, modern, and clean.

There was no AC or fan and the room was quite hot. The pillows on the bed are very small and flat. Also the pull out couch was very hard and uncomfortable.

Great location - generally a good stop over, but pillows not so good!

Excellent location with great views of the mountains. Clean bathroom. Pillows were not good but bed was ok, but not the best. Good food in hotel restaurant and friendly staff. Close to the Swiss border, this for us was an ideally located hotel for a one or two night stop over on a European road trip.

Pillows - one large and one small cushion. Neither of them offered comfortable support and could be improved. A kettle, with cups and tea/coffee would have been helpful.

Nice hotel but traffic noise is a problem.

We were on a cycle trip and the hotel had secure overnight parking for bikes. The bar / restaurant is very good.

The noise - the hotel is adjacent to a main road. Whilst it’s not a particularly busy road, the hotel double glazing is completely inadequate for keeping traffic noise out. This makes sleeping difficult.

View is totally worth it.

So... for a small little town the view from the room was STUNNING. Totally worth the little extra. The breakfast was enough that my daughter didnt complain and that makes me happy but it is pretty limited for sure.

There is construction on the road right in front of the hotel so it is a bit of a pickle to turn into the hotel and even worse when trying to leave.

a bit unpersonal and off the track... not so nice to arrive there at night alone...

Don’t like the breakfast no choices. Bathroom door is a slide door which was broken and has no lock.

Room was a very good size for Switzerland, and very clean. The breakfast was self-service and plenty of it.

It sounds crazy, but it was not clear how to operate the bathroom light. The boiled egg cooker needs to be set for a shorter time for runny yokes.

Breakfast. You feel as at home. Simple and good choice of everything. Lady who served was very friendly.

Everything was fine. Just make sure you remember room number while you check in. If not, you cannot find out afterwords... Only way to see which room is yours is try to open each room untill you find correct one... 😊

Das Zimmer war sehr strassenseitig ausgerichtet und der Verkehr laut Dass wir das angepriesene Netflix-Angebot nicht nutzen konnten. War auf einer Fernseh-App aber nicht verbunden.

Secondo soggiorno in questo hotel. La posizione è ideale, molto vicina all'autostrada. La struttura è moderna, curata e offre tutto quello che può servire per un soggiorno breve ma confortevole. Colazione abbastanza varia e buona. Cenato nell'albergo senza prenotare in precedenza. Accolti subito, serviti bene. Pietanze ordinarie, ma buone.

Il sistema di check in automatico all'ingresso è un po' macchinoso e richiede qualche sforzo di interpretazione. Il prezzo è superiore a quello di strutture analoghe in altri paesi, ma non per la Svizzera.

Telefonische receptie kon booking niet vinden... Sta je dan met 6 man midden in de nacht... Geld weg en geen kamer. Opnieuw rechtstreeks geboekt, dat ging goed. Na 4 weken en veel gedoe geld terug. Zeer slechte bereikbaarheid van booking.com!

Schöne und geräumige Zimmer, ansprechendes Bad. Grosse Fenster und kleiner, praktischer Arbeitsplatz. Viel Stauraum für Kleider! Einfaches Check-in und Parkplätze direkt vor dem Hotel. Zimmer war ruhig.

Für Businessreisende wäre es schön, beim Frühstück "Coffe to go" (Pappbecher) zu bekommen. Aber das ist eine Kleinigkeit.

Licht und Schatten

Für Biker in Richtung Italien ein guter Ort für Zwischenstopp. Bikegarage mit genügend Platz, Pumpe usw.

Direkt an einer stark befahrenen Straße gelegen konnte kein Fenster geöffnet werden, obwohl es sehr heiß war. Dass Restaurant und Bar am Sonntag geschlossen sind, war mir bekannt. Ein Getränkeautomat wäre aber von Vorteil, besonders im Hochsommer.

Bon emplacement, petit déjeuner très bien, chambre très confortable, possibilité de mettre les vélos dans un garage fermé à clé, système d'enregistrement automatique performant.

Dommage que le restaurant soit fermé le dimanche soir mais à 5 minutes à pied, il y a un restaurant chouette.
