Ferienwohnung Meiringen "Engelhorn"

The facilities were great (except the slanted roofs in the bedrooms, which we kept forgetting about). The shower/batrhroom facilities were very good! Peter was an exceptional host, very friendly and helpful. Location was perfect. We enjoyed our time there very much!

Sehr freundlicher Gastgeber, unkomplizierte Kommunikation. Die Wohnung ist ausserordentlich gut ausgestattet für alle, die gerne selber kochen möchten: man findet da wirklich alles an Küchengerät, was man sich wünschen kann. Und die Nespresso Kaffeemaschine hat natürlich auch nicht gefehlt (Tipp: Kapseln mitbringen). Die Lage ist angenehm, mitten im Städtchen und für Skifahrer in Gehdistanz zur grossen Gondel. Besonders sympathisch ist die Brockenstube gleich gegenüber der Wohnung.

Das Haus hat mehrere Mietwohnungen, unsere war die Dachwohnung. Sehr gemütlich, aber auch viel Dachschräge. Mit Kindern kein Problem, für grossgewachsene Erwachsene vielleicht nicht ideal.

The owner was very helpful and friendly, giving us a lift from the station and helping us to carry bags to the apartment and giving a few ideas on activities. He spoke good English with me and Schweizer Dutsch with my kids and was very easy going. Meiringen is a lovely town for a weekend with kids, lots to do (the Kugeln walk is great for young ones, walking and marble races... cool)

Genuinely cannot fault the place for a short stay. No lift (at the time although not sure whether it was just out of service) so perhaps pack sensibly since 3 floors on the stairs is tiring.
