Ferienapartment Landhaus 4U Meiringen

This was an excellent holiday apartment - we had a wonderful time. It was so easy to move into (the lift ran from the underground parking into the apartment itself). The location was terrific - a bus stop outside, 5 mins by foot to a mountain lift, 5 mins by foot to the station, shops, etc. The apartment was very spacious with two balconies with gorgeous views on either side of the main living room/dining room. The open-plan kitchen was comprehensively fitted out with everything necessary (fridge, freezer, oven, microwave, steamer, built-in coffee machine, dishwasher), plus a spacious utility room behind with a washing machine and dryer. The flat had masses of wardrobe and cupboard space, and very comfortable sofas (quite rare in rented apartments in our experience!). The children enjoyed the big bath with lights in the main bathroom - which also had a huge walk-in shower. The two smaller bedrooms each had their own en suite toilet and shower. Plus there was a guest toilet. As a three-generation family we were very comfortable and delighted with the apartment. The owner was very approachable and helpful. Having a key code was a great alternative to physical keys - which there are never enough of. We also appreciated having outdoor parking.

While we appreciated having electric blinds everywhere, especially important during the heat waves this summer, these were a bit complicated to use.

Leider hatten wir in Bezug auf das Buchungsdatum Pech, denn während wir in der Wohnung waren, gab es im Dorf ein wochenlanges Fest, mit Lärm und Party die ganze Nacht während der ganzen Woche. Daher können wir den Aufenthalt ab 26.12. für eine Woche nicht empfehlen, falls man nicht auch Party machen will. Sonst aber wunderschön und sicher auch schön ruhig zum schlafen. Auch sehr in der Nähe der Bergbergbahn, was sehr angenehm ist.

Exceptionally comfortable, cozy and fully equipped apartment. Felt at home

Stay required more communication with a host then I’d prefer. Upon checkout I got a message requesting to take out garbage, put all dishes into dishwasher and wipe or sweep all of the surfaces. I was told that my deposit wouldn’t be returned in full in case I didn’t do it. To be fair- the check of the apartment wasn’t very strict when we were leaving - but I expected no such requests given the 200chf cleaning fee. Given all of the above we still loved our stay because the place itself was beyond our expectations
