A peaceful, cozy stay that turned out even better than I expected.

This stay was one of the highlights of my trip to Germany. The apartment was cozy, beautifully themed, and had a wonderful smell and atmosphere. The energy of the place felt truly special. My family and daughter were comfortable, and we all slept well. The owner is an interesting and welcoming person. I hope to visit again. Thank you.

A very nice house with an exquisite garden, perfect for spending quality time. The four-legged landlords (cats and dogs) we’re also very kind.

Some of the pictures are not corresponding with the reality. We didn’t see any garden, any swimming pool and the bathroom was really small. The flat was old.

Stay did not meet expectation and accommodations need improvement.

Appreciated that the house could accommodate our large family and was in a quiet location with easy parking. There was a nearby bakery, but we did not get a chance to try. The owner Achim seems very nice and we appreciated that he waited for us when we checked in late.

Booked a stay at this Bed & Breakfast and was told 1 day before check-in that breakfast was not included with my reservation. Could not pull this specific information from my original reservation to verify, but breakfast not being included in a B&B would probably have stood out in my memory. If owner is accurate, communication about this could have been sent shortly after reservation. Amenities fell short. Bath towels were thin, small, and very rough; an extra one was not provided even when we asked. There was no soap nor shampoo in the shower, nor floor mat/towel outside shower stall. Coffee maker was empty of beans and looked so old and unused that we decided against using it as well. We had to open the windows as it was hot in the bedrooms at night; window screens would have been helpful to keep the mosquitos out. We kept the windows closed after the first night. The numerous pictures posted were for both the main house and separate cottage. Depending on where you stay, certain pictures would not apply.

It was a nice clean room. The host was kind hut we didn't get the chance to interact much. The location was quite. It is located on the suburb of Cologne.

There were five rooms in one floor and only one bathroom. It led to long waiting time. I can imagine if all rooms are occupied, the waiting time can even extend. The location itself is quite far without a car to reach there. One need to change train and bus to arrive. It can be long for those who want to do activity in the city center.

You have better options for almost same price and close to Köln city.

1. It takes 1 hour to reach köln HBF by public transport. It should have mentioned rather than showing as 7 miles. 2.Shared bathroom should have mentioned on the top as we missed that in the description. 3. Breakfast was just average.

The host is very kind, always helpful and available to share tips about public transportation, places to visit in the city and around in the neighborhood, place to eat and what to do. The garden view from the living room where we had breakfast is beautiful and the dogs and cats are very nice too. Breakfast was very rich (salty and sweet options). We are really satisfied. It was a lovely short break, comfortable and the owner was so friendly. He also recommended very good restaurants and places to visit. The location was easy to travel to the city centre.

Great place for pet-loving family.

We went for a short get-away with the kids and I choose this place because of the location not far from Phantasialand, but also because of the pets. The kids loved it. The host is an adventurous gentleman with whom I shared quite a few interests, so a good chat was easy. The location close to the river made that you could have a nice walk and enjoy the sunset.

Cute old house in a quiet village

Comfortable beds. Full kitchen with bakery close by. Host was friendly and very easy to communicate with (English or German) and responded quickly to any concerns or questions both before our stay and during.

No AC made the upstairs bedrooms quite hot in July. Photos in the post are confusing since the rental house and the B&B pictures are all grouped together. This property should list the house separately from the B&B.

Host was very personable. Stand alone house. We loved having the dogs and cats on the property.

We needed a third bedroom for our group, but 2 of our group simply moved the bedding downstairs and slept on the couch. We made it work.

Nice, clean, calm house. 10 minutes drive from Cologne.

Main bedroom in the front needs shutters or thick curtains for the summer, because it is full daylight at 5am in June, so no way to sleep in the morning.
