great value for money, great location.

The location was brilliant and just a short tam ride into the heart of Koln. breakfast was varied and good quality , something for everyone. The staff was warm and welcoming.

I booked at the last minute but if you drive here, arrange parking in advance, I initially parked in the nearby underground carpark that cost 15.00 euro for 5 hours!!! if you can find somewhere to park on a side street, but this can be difficult.

Its location was convenient, with easy access to public transportation. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. If I come back again, I would definitely choose the same hotel.

A very traditional old Germanic style small hotel, centrally located.

Breakfast was of traditional German style, continental with good quality produce ie lean ham, tasty cheese, crunchy bread rolls. The beds were very comfortable.

The bath was very difficult to access in and out, in order to operate the shower attachment. As elderly folk, we found it very hard to to clamber into the high sided bath, impossible for my wife. I believe all 22 rooms have the same baths. It also took time to get hot water, after running the taps for a few minutes.

Small but cozy hotel, with an extremely kind and helpful staff. The bed and the pillow were very confortable. The breakfast is not very diversified - keep in mind it's a 3 stars hotel - but it was good and fresh, and the dining room is very nice. The wifi is strong and steady. It has a small (paid) parking, which is vital in this area of Cologne for those who travel by car. In the same street there are pharmacies, coffee shops, restaurants, ... The price was pretty affordable, comparing to other alternatives.

I couldn't find the AC, so I had to keep the window open, which, in the Summertime, can be a problem. In the Spring, however, was perfectly OK.

Oldie but Goodie

It is an old hotel, but all considered it was good! Easy and quick check-in. The room was nice, very clean, comfortable and well kept even for the age. Bathroom also very clean and the water pressure on the shower was fantastic, even though it was a bit tight to shower inside a bathtub. Breakfast was very good and the breakfast room has a classic, charming atmosphere.

The sound isolation from other rooms wasn't very impressive. The room above ours probably had children who were jumping a lot and that made a strong "bass" sound on our heads.

somewhat out of the way, but reflected in price. will be better when neighborhood construction is finished. owner/manager, Volker, was very informative, pleasant and friendly. breakfast was excellent! room was small but efficient and clean. parking behind hotel was important. highly recommended if looking for clean comfort and pleasant and authentic atmosphere, rather than luxury.
