In a wild beautiful spot with lovely aspects up the mountain. Nearby loch where we swam.

The kitchen was rather poor and surprisingly dirty with mouse droppings and some smelly cupboards. The whole place could do with a proper clean. A freezer would be useful.

An extremely comfy and cosy secluded cottage. The house contained everything that we needed to make our trip a memorable experience. We appreciated the little gifts that were left for our enjoyment and also the amount of logs provided for the fire, although the central heating meant that we didn’t need to use them most evenings. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding was perfect for the cooler nights. This is one place that we will certainly be returning to.

Beautiful location, large enclosed garden, facilities. Sheep all around the house and seen deer too from the garden. We enjoyed our stay.

We stayed at the cottage during the extreme cold period. Heating stopped working a couple of times as the boiler was locked out. We have experience with these old boilers so managed to restart each time. Due to the snow storm at the end of the week we were forced to leave over a day early and the planned visit of our friends was cancelled because of it, but that is of no fault of the cottage owner.

Excellent property. The location up a hill is superb with deer in the field above us . Nice furnishings , comfortable beds . Two large bedrooms and a reasonable single . We were there in November and a little worried it would be cold . We needn’t have worried because there was plenty heat from the radiators throughout the day . At night the log burner is cosy . Plentiful hot water. We intended walking a lot but it was so nice there was a reluctance to leave cottage !

The only thing I’d say was there is no freezer . With COVID on the go we had stocked up on frozen food to avoid visiting shops . Having no freezer was a bit inconvenient . In fairness it never said there was one , we just assumed it would have a freezer .
