Disappointing
The lock box was broken and a door was unlocked - not safe. Bird poo all over the front entrance, made it difficult to walk through front door. Had to mop kitchen floor on arrival as was still dirty. Wheelie bin outside was overflowing and bin bags on the driveway. We paid £1100 for a two night stay, should expect high standards and high cleanliness. This was not fulfilled and very dissatisfied- especially as there has been previous reviews you’d expect the feedback to be listened to - very disappointed and would not recommend.

Poor communication and broken patio door
The location was great and the views surrounding the property were lovely.
When we arrived the back patio door was broken and wouldn't lock. We reported this to maintenance which with no signal was very tricky. After eventually getting through to someone they assured us someone would come to fix the issue. Long story short after calling daily and being told someone was coming they never did! We had 5 children with us including babies and the property did not feel safe!! Communication was poor. Unless this changes I wouldn't recommend staying. Its a shame as the property could be lovely and a great base for people staying but this really ruined our stay.

Great place for a family stay. Good location. We had fun
Good size rooms and bathrooms. Lovely garden. Plenty of natural light.
Patio door doesn’t work. The lock is jammed on to the door frame and pulls a strip of wood from the frame when you try to open it. Therefore we could not use it - which meant walking the long way round to access the garden. Key code box is very awkward to work when trying to close it. The bird droppings all round the front door area really need sorting out. Apart from making the entrance virtually unusable without having to navigate the bird mess it is a health hazard. Someone needs to jet wash it and disinfect it. we mostly used back door but had to tread carefully when using the front.

Overall, kitchen was the only thing that made us dissatisfaction from this house.
House is centrally located from M6 and Lake District.
Kitchen was very dirty. Utensil provided was not in good order and clean.

Generally, it was fine. Some decor items need replacing within the property but I would stop again.
The location is what enticed me to book that particular property as well as the number of rooms.
When we arrived at the property, the recycling bin at the back door was full to the brim with beer cans and leaving no room for any of ours. Also, the general bin was more or less full.

Great property for lots of friends
N/A breakfast. The location was great, although there is a big, new housing estate just going up opposite. There is a pub that serves food about a 6min walk away. Easy to travel to other places from here and to find off road footpaths to go for walks. The property was well equipped, warm and plenty of space for our party of 9. We took our own bar-b-q but did find a small one in the garage. We were able to use the app I downloaded to somewhat control the heating so we were warm and cosy despite the size of the property.
The mattress protectors need to be replaced as these did have stains on them. The towels for showering were quite small, even for me at 5ft 3" and a bit thin. A bit disappointed that the family bathroom was opposite the single but the other bedroom that needed to use it because it didn't have an ensuite was down the hall at the other side of the landing. Parking for the 4 cars was very tight and we didn't know we could use the double garage until we read the cottage information, having said that the doors were single and very tight so only put one car in.

Great Weekend
Rural location with beautiful surroundings, modern accommodation, with everything you need for a large group. Pub close by and other villages etc are all located close by.
The place was generally clean, just wasn't hoovered so well under the beds as I had to move one quickly as something rolled under and the amount of things under there wasn't pleasant. Being asked to strip the beds of linen and empty all the bins to the outside bin may seem a little petty, but why would guests do that?

Overall very good!
The host, Chris, responded to our problems swiftly and he supplemented two hair dryers immediately on the second day of our stay. The house was spacious and we can spread over and do our small group activities. There was ample supply of charcoal for us to light the fireplace, which was wonderful.
There is no body wash, shampoo and hair conditioner in the bathroom.
