Located next to Castelvecchio and within short distance of Arena and other sights. Room layout was very unusual but manageable.

We are aged 80 and 73 and specifically required a ground floor or access to elevator. The elevator was not working and we had to haul luggage up and down what would amount to several floors of stairs in USA. Room had lower than normal ceiling height and room felt claustrophobic. Nearly hurt myself carrying luggage. Feel that the only fair thing is to get partial refund for these issues. Fortunately my wife and I have remained relatively fit and are flexible, but when a business cannot deliver what they promised then the only means of resolution is price adjustment. Unusual toilet arrangement and person in shower was visible to entire room.

Gorgeous Palazzo accommodation in an ideal location

We loved the space in our "Matilde" room (it was huge). There are 4 windows, 2 on the street. But it was quiet with them closed. There are about 25 steps to the rooms, but they are wide and easily negotiated with bags. Bus stops are close as are the main piazzas and of course the bridges and river. Restaurants abound.

All we can think of is the fiddly pedal bin (little ones fall over). Also the use of small toiletry bottles. It's so much better when a large wall mounted dispenser is provided.

An immaculate base in a spectacular setting for touring landmarks of Verona.

Great location. The apartment in palace was beautiful and in keeping with history. The room inside the apartment was beautifully furnished and immaculate.

I liked everything about this property. But as bad sleeper had to turn fridge off at night as a little noisy. Probably wouldn’t bother others.

Easy to find, it was a beautiful building, Massimo who met us could not of been more helpful.

We did love the location, it was a great position to access everything we needed, just a short walk into the town centre.

I think if we where to stay again. we would like to have a room with a view and more natural day light, we found the room very dark.

Room with Italian splendor in the heart of the city.

The room is set in a gated older courtyard style condominium with marble stairways to the accommodation. The room is large and comfortable, just as described and impressively clean, the owner's photos are very accurate. There is no view from the rooms, it overlooks the bustling street, but sound proofing is excellent, so you won't be disturbed if you sleep in late! We stayed here for a weekend trip to Verona for an opera at the Arena di Verona which is a very short walk away, in fact the old city of Verona with its restaurants, shops, basilicas and museums are all very close. On our next visit to Verona, for another opera, we will be booking this property.

Very well situated . Fine for a short stay.

The location and historical setting.

The low ceiling is a problem for tall people. My husband could not stand up straight in the room. The steps outside the room are difficult to see clearly as the light only comes on once you are in the landing. There were only 4 coffee capsules and 2 packs of 2 biscottis for a 2 night stay, which meant one coffee and one biscotti each.

The location is great to visit the sites in La città antica. You can walk everywhere. It is very close to the Arena di Verona Very good communication with Massimo and excellent service.

This is a fabulous place to stay!

The room was pleasant, spacious, well furnished, clean and had a mini kitchen. It was walking distance to everything. We could have easily stayed there a couple of weeks.

Wonderful Apartment

Where do I start? The location is excellent to explore Verona, everything within walking distance. 15 minute walk to the station or a short bus ride ( busstop close by). Only a 25 minute train ride to Lake Garda. Very beautiful and very secure building, if you are hiring a car the parking is excellent. The bed is extremely comfy with plenty of cushions. The little road opposite has a lovely family run restaurant, which is one of the best meals we had on holiday, everything homemade - Enocibus Al Promo D'Oro. I would definitely recommend the property to anyone wanting to explore the lovely city of Verona.

Room in an old palazzo, wonderful, but not for everyone!

The moment we entered the door of the apartment, we were pleasantly surprised, how modern and clean it was, and how much attention to detail there was. No complaints whatsoever in that respect.

However, we would not return because of the trouble getting to the door of the apartment. We were given five keys of doors and gate, and for those who cannot walk upstairs, the tiny elevator was a nightmare. Barely fits two people without luggage, and any movement would make the elevator stop and lights go out. It was a scary 15 minute episode which we experienced. Those who do not need an elevator, can walk upstairs with their luggage and do not mind several keys to enter the room in an old palazzo, most likely would love it. For all others, caution!

Great location. The bedroom was very large and beautifully appointed. The manager and his son were exceptionally nice.

Palazzo living

Walking into an old palazzo, up the grand stairs and then into our converted and very modern studio apartment was quite a thrill. We could touch the ceiling with our hands, it felt like a fairy tale, and it although it was all very compact, it worked. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. Great location too.

The location was perfect for getting to all the attractions and was very quiet. The room was very clean and nicely decorated.

There was supposed to be laundry facilities however the washing machine wasn’t working during our stay.

Perfect B&B in a glorious historic city and a thoughtful and generous host. Perfect

We loved everything about this B&B. Our host Massimo met us with our keys and a thorough overview of the facility etc. He was generous and available if we needed him. The B & B was wonderful in everyway and being part of a historic building and palazzio made it very special indeed. Its position in the historic centre of beautiful Verona was also amazing. We walked everywhere we wanted to see. We would highly recomend this B&B and Verona to anyone travelling in Italy. Thank you Massimo. June and Rob

Fantastic stay!

The apartment was lovely and very spacious, everything we needed - even a bottle of prosecco in the fridge! It's in a beautiful old building in a great location, just down the road from Castel Vecchio. Massimo and his son Federico were really friendly and helpful and let us leave our bags in a safe place in the building once we'd checked out. We had a really brilliant stay!

So welcoming and safe and close to all the sights.

Staff were very welcoming including providing water wine coffee and biscuits. Very close [in walking distance] to all the Verona attractions. Beautiful renaissance building modernised for tourist accommodation perfectly.

It takes a little to get used to not having a reception desk where you can make enquiries of staff. However if there is any trouble they are easily reached. Thank you for all your care and attention.

The perfect place to stay in the elegant city of Verona

A convenient and an extremely quiet location in a city with an active night life. Massimo is the kindest of hosts. Very generous with his time and knowledge. The palazzo is very grand and beautiful. The apt is very well appointed and has a fridge and stove top. A comfortable bed and great shower.

Wonderful cozy place!

Just a wonderful location in a historical building (palace). Room is cozy, atmospheric and just lovely, equipped with a coffee machine, cups, glasses and even a bottle opener. Very friendly owner Massimo who greeted us and told what is worth visiting in the city.

A truly beautiful building and stunning apartment by the river

A beautiful Palazzo, stunning building which was very convenient to everywhere. The apartment had every convenience. Quiet. Very safe parking too.

The only thing I did not like was the plastic backed mattress protector which made sleeping very uncomfortable and hot. Double cotton would have made this stay faultless.

A superb apartment in a magnificent Palazzo in the heart of Verona's old city.

This property must be one the most magnificent we’ve ever stayed in. Accommodation consists of a room in an apartment in the 500-year-old Palazzo Canossa, formally home to one of Verona’s noble families. The building is located right on the city’s river and a stone’s throw from the Castelvecchio, with its museum and iconic bridge. This is right in the heart of the old city and every Verona attraction worth seeing is within 10 minutes’ stroll, including the Roman Arena, ‘Juliet’s’ balcony and the Lamberti tower, as well as a seriously up-market shopping area. In addition, the area is dotted with good restaurants and there is a small supermarket almost directly opposite. As it was my birthday, friendly host Ignacio happily upgraded our room (from ‘Beatrice’ to ‘Matilda’). While the original room was nice, the new one was magnificent, with a massive area containing a king sized bed, dining area and separate seating in front of the flat screen TV – and there would still have been room for more furniture! The apartment had obviously been recently renovated when we stayed (Jan 2024) and was immaculate, with effective modern heating and a very comfortable bed. The apartment also has a small but well-equipped separate kitchen, with fridge, hob, sink and coffee machine – certainly enough to cook a meal for two if you fancy a night off from eating at restaurants. The accommodation also offers parking in the Palazzo courtyard - this costs 15 Euros a day and must be pre-booked but is worth its weight in gold as finding parking around the old town is extremely difficult. Bear in mind that the Palazzo’s gateway was designed for a horse and carriage, not a large car! We rented a compact SUV (VW Taigo) which luckily fitted through the gates with a few inches to spare but you wouldn’t want to arrive in anything much larger. The Palazzo Canossa is a wonderful building in a superb location in one of Italy’s most attractive cities and we really enjoyed our stay there.

Great room, but way too expensive!

The room is silent and confortable. There were some homeless sleeping at the entrance but they didn't even asked us anything. The location of the room is terrific, close to several incredible places. The room it's located on an ancient palace.

The host only speaks Italian. Even if the room was very clean, we found previous guest's used gels at the shower (on it's ceiling). Overall the room was good but for the price honestly I was expecting something better, definitely it's not a 120€/night place!

Great location, and cute room albeit quite small. Massimo was a lovely at check in.
