Bedding for the sofa bed wasn’t clean (duvet cover) and there was no sheet to sleep on. Curtain pole was unattached so curtains didn’t open/close properly. Smelt of dog initially, rugs were scruffy. No shower curtain in the main bathroom. Shower head was broken so pattern of water couldn’t be altered. No tea towel to wash up.
Fire safety- leaving paper on plugs is dangerous.

The staff member I dealt with had great communication and the cost of the accommodation was good. The deposit was too large for the cost and condition of the apartment.
Apartment looked a lot different to the photos which was a little misleading. I understand lighting etc but it needs a good deep clean and tlc eg painting. There was no tea towel or anything to wash the dishes with but the staff dropped this off within 30 minutes which was great. There was no drying rack/anywhere to dry clothes which was unfortunate as not everything can be put in the dryer.

The place is far from modern. Pictures are very deceiving and the most dirtiest bed sheets and pillows I have ever seen. We tried to leave because we couldn’t sleep on the beds but no one got back to us, so half of us slept on the sofa (which was also dirty) and the other half bought some bed sheets from the supermarket. The beds did not have a mattress and it was just stuffed with extra dirty bed sheets inside. No help from anyone and the lady kept saying she would speak to the manager to see if we can leave and 1week later I have still not heard anything. Even though booking.com told me she was the manager and they refused our request for cancellation, but they never contacted us to inform us of this.

We were able to collect keys at any time as pick up was from a 24hr shop, which was very convenient.
Good size apartment for our family of 5.
Sofa was heavily stained and looked disgusting. Couldn't sit on it. Needs to be replaced.
Beds also felt like they needed to be replaced. Mattress was uneven and not comfortable. Sheets had stains. Ruined the stay. Beds and pillows need to be spotless and comfy. Otherwise would have stayed longer. Also the hand wash dispenser didn't work in the main bathroom, so took the one from the attached bathroom.

Location
Didn't have electricity to the sockets for 36hrs due to power tripping off. This could have easily been rectified had the cupboard for the fusebox been unlocked. The number they gave to ring never rang back with updates, i constantly had to email. 36 hrs later someone came. On arrival bedding was stained and some of it was ripped. The apartment was in need of TLC.

Filthy beds made up as if clean but covered in hair and dirt and lipstick sofa bed was filthy. It looked like ingrained sick stains. There was no bedding for the sofa bed even though it's listed as the third bed in the property The woman Sel asked for photos with no apology after I asked for clean linen. Then they were unresponsive after We sent photos. Then we asked again what could be done and they asked for more photos. There's was a huge chop out if the glass table which was very dangerous The bath had been recently bathed in any the bath mat was really stained and dirty There was rubbish under the beds. The flat was really tatty and looked nothing like the photos. We left as we had to put the children to sleep. The woman said they couldn't refund as only booking.com could.When we contacted booking.com they called the hosts twice to try to get a refund and we're unable to get a refund or return of our security deposit. I spoke to the host representative and she, Sel said they had not spoken to anyone at booking.com and didn't say anything about sending cleaners. Booking.com lady was really nice but said the host had sent cleaners and that we'd get our security deposit back when we checked out. I reminded them that we had already checked out and that we had notified th host of this. Sel, the host rep said they would return the security deposit and send a message with the receipt. This did not happen. She also said the host manager would be in touch about refunding the cost of the stay. This also did not happen. We are still awaiting any and all refunds. The booking.com lady said this had happened at least twice before with this property and this host so we feel the property shouldn't be on booking.com as then we and booking.com would not have been ripped off.

The apartment was well located and clean. Bedrooms were spacious and great to have 2 bathrooms.
I would have rated more, however we unfortunately incurred a power cut due to a fuse going. Whilst this could not be helped, the amount of time taken to fix the problem on the first day meant we were without electricity for about 6 hours so could not use the TV, kettle, toaster, charge our phones, use hairdtyers/straightners or access the WiFi. When this happened again on day 2 and reported immediately identifying the toaster being the problem causing the fuse to trip, no-one came to fix the problem before we checked out (some 2 hours) so some of the party left without having breakfast. It was a huge inconvenience as we could not use the apartment as intended. Tried calling the given number but could only leave messages, no-one called back.
Additionally, when picking up the keys, I had not been sent a pin number, which was quite stressful at the time.

 Stay well clear staff very difficult to get hold of. cleanlinessUn acceptable. TV didn’t work car park. Fob didn’t work got locked in nobody answered to help dirty dirty dirty.
From start to finish, this property was in bad state of repair down to the kitchen cupboards falling off the hinges door handles, missing no shower curtain, dirty, kitchen towel thrown on top of units. Top of fridge hasn’t been clean for years. No table and chairs dirty cooking, utensils staff very  un helpful  stains on the sofa  sharp edges on the glass, coffee table, very dangerous

It’s bright and clean
The owners will extremely unhelpful .they wouldn’t let us drop bags so we had to lug them around all day. They told us take all rubbish with us so you can’t use the bins. they said we had to pay 300 sterling as deposit even though night only cost 140. I asked would half be ok as it would take our spending money but everything you ask you are told no with a smiley emoji.!! And the threat of yiur security deposit not being returned if place isn’t left exactly as you found it so we were afraid almost to use anything. They wouldn’t allow us even a few mins extra in the morning or you will lose your 300. When we arrived there was no soap or shower gel so you can’t use shower.You have to walk to a different place with your bags to collect and also to drop keys the next day.Everytjing you ask they will not oblige but they will send you emojis and everything is extra money.it’s much further from town than it describes. It’s not in a very nice area. There is nobody to greet you . I would not recommend

Location to centre was great
Poorly cleaned, fag buts on veranda, bathrooms not cleaned into corners for ages- we paid £39 for cleaning! Next to very noisy road, could not open door of middle room onto verranda. I do not see what was luxurious about the apartment.

The location was good for us as we went to Villa Park.
Well, there was no sheet that fitted the sofa bed. There was blood stains on the quilt cover, the coffee table was broke. There are stains all over the sofa bed. Stains on the curtains in the master bedrooms, curtains are too small for the windows and alot of road noise. The mattress is very uncomfortable and didn't get any sleep.

The location was perfect, as well as how to collect the keys. The video was clear, and I had already seen what I needed to do and how far away it was from the property.
The place where the keys was kept was secure and had no problem with picking them up or dropping them off. Although the petrol station is very small and upon arrival there was customers for petrol causing it to be busy but this didn't effect the process.
The sofa bed wasn't what was expected. Was OK for a night but wouldn't have wanted to to sleep on what was provided for much longer.
No Shower curtain for the communal bathroom thought this caused the floor and other areas of the bathroom get wet.

Simple to find the location.
However collecting the key from a fuel station was unexpected.
When we returned the key less than one hour later the attendant was sympathetic but could offer no help to our situation as they had no link to the apartment.
Upon entering the apartment, we immediately noticed what appeared to be camera located in the hallway of the apartment. Beneath it was clear instruction to not turn it off. For four young Ladies this I trust you understand that this was somewhat concerning. We feel to have such an intrusion within an apartment is unacceptable. We now understand that this camera maybe what is referred on the web site as CCTV in “common areas”. I can advise however there are no signs within the apartment stating that surveillance was present which is a clear breach of the law. Moving on to the condition of the Apartment. Your website advises the photos are an accurate reflection of the property. We have video footage and pictures that clearly prove this to be incorrect. We will be happy to forward them again. There were dirty marks on several walls. Bed linen was stained, it also had strands of hair also dirty marks.
In our view the linen had not been changed since the last occupants.
The sofa was damp to the touch.
Curtains did not cover window openings and one window had a broken curtain rail.
One wall had clearly been damaged and a very poor attempt had been made to repair it.
As a result of the entrance access problem and condition of the apartment we called out contact number. They offered to send somebody to the apartment, but we advised we had no intention to stay in a property not as described and at the same time with a concern for privacy and safety. We were advised to return the keys/fob to the collection point, and this was done by 7.00pm.
We then found ourselves needing to alternative accommodation in Birmingham.
Our experience was very distressing and upsetting.
In closing the accommodation not in acceptable condition, was not as described or shown on the Booking. com web site and was combined with a complete lack of customer service.
To date we have had no reply from the apartment owners/agent
There more to this booking we seeking a full refund.

We love the location
Need to be in the apartment by 4 as it taken us half an hour 2 find the apartment so we missed our meal and I just need some money spent on it and new knives for the kit, open in bedroom wall and around the windows. But otherwise nice

I am writing in regards to my experience staying at your property within the Birmingham area. Unfortunately it was an extremely uncomfortable experience due to the hygiene standard of the property. The property was not clean, hair was found on the pillows, in the sheets, and sofa was so dirty we was unable to make use of it. ln addition to this, the shower trickled water and did not run properly, nor was there a shower curtain to stop the water from soaking the floor, the bulbs in the larger room were out also, making it extremely difficult to get ready. I have attached pictures for you to see. The property does not reflect the pictures shown on booking.com. I am extremely disappointed as i have booked through booking.com for many years and not experienced such a low standard of cleanlinesses within an apartment. The apartment sleeps 6, 2 of those are supposed to sleep on the pull out sofa bed and it is so dirty! full of stains.

Rental agreement, security deposit twice the price of the stay, passport, and proof of address. And if you don’t send all of this, they will not release the keys…
The keys you must collect from a random petrol station down the road, and if you are not driving this is a quite a walk with luggage etc.
None of this is advertised or made clear until you book a non-refundable say.
The apartment itself…
Lift was broken, not the greatest start.
Upon entry the apartment smelt of bleach but was overall was e grubby. Curtains stained and the bedding for the sofa bed was disgusting. The pictures look nice, but it is need of a lick of paint and a good deep clean now.
Outside balcony was a good size but in desperate need of a clean the furniture was black, my hands were covered in black dirt after touching the table and windows were filthy.
Overall, it had everything we needed for 1 night but any longer I would have raised a complaint and probably opted to stay elsewhere.

The location was good with secure parking.
Cleanliness levels left a bit to be desired and website photos were obviously taken some time ago. Lots of little things needed attention and the towel rail was so hot I have a burn mark.

Great location, easy access to the city centre and transport links. Secure parking was an added bonus. Apartment was decorated well and clean.
Communication could be better. Phone numbers provided were either not available or nobody ever answered my calls.
We had cold shower our first night but was promptly sorted the next day when I notified the host.
