The noise coming from the restaurant downstairs

The place is really very clean, it is well appointed and in very good order. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was convenient and with good water pressure. They kitchen is also nicely appointed. The place is easy to reach fron Gare Cornavin, too.

No air-conditioning meant the place was unfortunately completely unlivable for the heatwabe this summer. The heat inside was EXTREME and it was impossible to sleep. Also, the flat has zero noise insulation, so it sounds like you are sleeping directly in the street, and everyone who closes a door in the building - you hear them, the doors are heavy and bang. The balcony door doesn't close well and has zero insulation, which suggests to me that in the winter it runs a strong cold draft. Any guest coming in is left alone - basically no human contact whatsoever. I found the check in process very demanding and very annoying. Finally, the lock relies *entirely* on the Bluetooth on your phone, even tho the ridiculously long instructions you are sent refer to a physical key. So, if you run out of battery or lose your phone, you risk being locked out. The owners clearly tried to modernise, but they did it the wrong way around. As a paying guest I do not need a Bluetooth lock, but normal temperature and at least some attempt to secure peace and quiet, so I can sleep.
