A wonderful beach, a charming house, but only for a single couple and with its flaws.

A fantastic location, stunning views and surroundings, quiet, no people, a terrace, a comfortable bed (only one), and clean. A wonderful beach.

The main, major drawback, or rather a deception, is the lack of a second bedroom. The description lists two bedrooms, but in reality, there's only one with an additional sofa bed in the kitchen area. The so-called living room is unsuitable for sleeping – there's no air conditioning, and the full glass area causes extreme heat. This is a house for a single couple, possibly with children. The second problem is that the house is close to the beach (and Google shows a path leading to it), but there's no access to the beach through a fence built across it. You have to drive to a remote parking lot, pay, and then walk quite a distance to the beach. This is not what we expected when renting a house by the beach. Other drawbacks: uncomfortable beds, kitchen elements in two rooms, no wardrobes, no garbage sorting, and broken/inefficient and poorly placed air conditioning.

Great, absolutely great.

If anyone wants to stay in Elafonisi, which might be one of the best 10 beaches in the world and top 3 in Greece, this is the villa to book. George the host was lovely, and the villa itself is absolutely in the best possible location with the most spectacular view. At the end of a long day at the beach, there's nothing like going up to the villa, opening a cold beer or bottle of wine, and taking a bath on its balcony while watching the sunset. its location is well worth the money, and effort necessary to make it to Elafonisi. In fact, if you stand on the beach, this is probably the only villa that you will actually see from the beach.

This villa is a bit of a waste on families, and I'd recommend it mostly for couples, but although we had two small kids with us, it was very spacy and comfortable.

Isolated paradise

Best views you can imagine - during the day one of the most beautiful beaches in Crete, during the evening a lovely sunset, and at night a sky full of stars. The only sound you hear are friendly goats :) we had a fantastic, relaxing stay! The host was very helpful and pleasant as well. Absolutely recommend!

There were ants in the house but perhaps it is normal in such a remote location. The path towards the beach is not clear and takes more than 30mins, pity that it is not indicated even symbolicaly. Better to drive to the beach by car, which is not a major issue as there is a free parking.

An unique experience!

It is a paradise! The location is unique, really above the beach! You can enjoy a wonderful view of the sea and the stars at night, the nature, the silence and the quiet. A truly unique experience! George, the owner, is so nice, very kind and he meets all our requests.

We were 4 adults and there is only one bedroom with air conditioner. Then there are 2 sofa-beds, one in the main bedroom and the other one in the living room. It is fine, but maybe more suitable for a family or a couple.

Exceptional

The villa is unique- there are few places to stay near the beach in the area and the villa offers amazing views of the beach and surrounding areas. It feels very remote but, in reality, it’s only a short drive to the lagoon and nearby tavernas. Some other reviews have said the drive is tricky but we managed it easily in a rented Fiesta!! Our children loved seeing the goats around the property and having an outdoor bath at sunset!! Staying at the villa was a real highlight of our trip travelling around the island. George is also a fantastic host!

Wonderful little house in a secluded location overlooking Elafonissi bay and the beach. Very well equipped. Very hospitable and caring owner. Highly recommended! A couple of nice restaurants nearby. We particularly enjoyed KOSMOS FISH TAVERN in Chrisoskalitissis, approx. 4 km up the road.

Amazing view

The view over the sea and mountains is stunning. A unique and tranquil location with goats as neighbours. The bathtub on the patio is a great place for watching the sunset and the stars. The house is well equipped with everything you need. George is a great host. Elafonissi and Kedrodrasos beaches are within walking distance.

Spectacular!

This was a once in a life time type of trip and as remote as you can get without having to camp. The house was very clean and comfortable. Remember that you are very remote and you will need to bring your own essentials such as blow dryer, iron, ect. The goats as our neighbors was super cute. The host, George was Family! He was so thoughtful, caring and professional. This was an excellent vacation and we were so fortunate to be so close to the beautiful Elafonissi beach. The local people were the most generous and nicest people ever! We were so grateful.

Just remember the drive to the house is super rough and you will need to take your time through the unpaved road.

Unique experience

Stunning view! It's a unique place, there are no other houses nearby, it's very calmexcept for some sheep, 180° sea view, you can see Elafonisi beach from above and it's within walking distance. There are amenities for cooking, bbq, a cosy fire place and even a washing machine. The room has AC. George is a very friendly and helpful co-host.

Partly rocky gravel road, but manageable if you go slowly.

Indimenticabile, il terrazzo sulla baia di Elafonissi è un sogno…

Posizione IMPAGABILE… arredamento molto carino. La casa è data per 6 persone, ma francamente in 6 sarebbe un po’ dura viverci, specie per chi deve dormire in veranda dove può fare molto caldo (l’aria condizionata è solo nella casa). Direi che 4 è il numero massimo per un buon soggiorno.

La strada sterrata per arrivarci, con una grata di ferro per chiudere il sentiero… se fosse sistemata sarebbe geniale!

Cooles Häuschen in einer wahnsinnig schönen Lage

George ist ein toller, flexibler, fürsorglicher Gastgeber und das Häuschen hat eine absolut wunderbare Lage. Die einzigen Lebewesen weit und breit sind nette Ziegen und Schafe. Wir haben uns super wohl gefühlt und spontan verlängert.

Hinweis: Der direkte, markierte Wanderweg zum Elafonisi Strand, wie er auch in Google eingetragen ist, ist ziemlich schwierig zu gehen und endet an einem rostigen Zaun der kaum überwindbar ist. Also besser den Zufahrtsweg zwischen dem ersten großen Elafonisi Parkplatz und dem Häuschen zurücklaufen. Das geht viel schneller.

einmalige Lage. Das muss es einem Wert sein

Man muss wissen, man zahlt für die Lage und den Blick auf Elafonisi. Unverstellter 180° Blick auf das Meer. Die Aussenbadewanne in der man nach dem Strand abduschen kann, ist auch ganz gut. Der Kontakt zu George war gut.

Die Stühle waren kurz vorm zusammenbrechen (einer ist es auch) Die Toilettenspülung ist ständig nachgelaufen. Die Aussendusche hat nicht funktioniert Die Dusche innen in alle Richtungen gespritzt. Für den Weg braucht man Geduld
