Great family holiday. Nice place in a great location.

Spacious and everything worked great. Nice and remote, surrounded by farmers fields, and with the sea front only a short walk away. Fantastic hiking routes nearby, and 10-15 minute drive to a good selection of supermarkets / restaurants (mostly in Kissamos). We arrived into Crete early, so reached out to the host on Booking.com messages to ask if we could check in early. They responded quickly, and after checking with cleaning/maintenance guys, we were told ahead of normal check in time that it was ready, so thanks for this :-)

Location is Excellent to explore the east part of Crete. Close to te beach with shipwreck, nice photos can be taken. Nice pool, and holt tub. Good and cosy apartment, nice owner, helpful. Thanks four everything!

Perfect family accomodation

Spacious apartment with living and 2 bedrooms, situated on first floor in a small building with 3 apartments in total. Huge living room, kitchen fitted with every possible appliance, we had everything we could need. Although we haven't met the host in person, she was very kind and didn't mind that we broke the toaster. Also, when the water stopped running in the bathroom, she solved the issue in a few minutes. She also provided us with many helpful information about the local transport and food facilities. Wonderful sea view from one of the 3 balconies. The small pool and the jacuzzi were perfect for evening relaxation, especially due to the fact we could be the only ones using them most of the time. Various swimming and beach accessories were available for anybody to use as they pleased for free.

The location is a little bit remote and it's advisable to move around by car. We relied on the public transport, which was pretty ok, but we also had to walk a while which can be quite difficult in the July heat. Suggestions for minor comfort improvements: a little grease on the doors' hinges for solving the squeeks; a few clothes hangers besides the entrance door would be helpful; the faucets of all sinks could be upgraded and also the kitchen trash can.

Large apartment, good value for the money

The one-bedroom apartment is large and looks freshly renovated. It has a nice view and a large swimming pool. Communicating with the host was very easy. It's 45 minutes away from Balos beach, which was the purpose for our stay.

Everything was excellent. Inside the apartment was extremely comfortable, clean with everything you need. The garden and pool area brilliant, Pizza oven and BBQ a huge bonus.

Exceptional apartments both for facilities and location

Truly exceptional apartment. There are just three floors and each apartment has an entire floor. The top floor 1 bed apartment had a main kitchen /diner/sitting room of some 50 square metres plus bedroom plus 3 balconies, 2 facing the sea (North) and one facing the mountains (South), so huge. There is a good sized pool, a hot tub / jacuzzi, a BBQ area, a patch of lawn marked out with a football pitch and goals, a garden with fruit trees and extras such as books and games, beach towels. The apartments stand on their own in fields but there is easy access to restaurants alongside the shore.

No complaints. We did not stay in the ground floor apartment but I suspect it would not be quite so attractive since it is in part below ground level so has smaller windows and less good views. It does however have easy access to its own terrace and the pool

Everything was perfect. Our apartment was at the third floor with very beautiful views. It was very big with everything you will need on a vacation. Very clean and cozy. I definitely recommend this apartment especially for families with kids. Will visit it again.

Perfect apartment in all respects. Clean, large rooms, totally equipped, basics like sugar, salt, pepper, dish detergent, washing machine including washing powder ..... pool, childrens playground, outdoor grill ... the house and garden offers everything (including a little dog :-)). Therefor, the poor beach is not needed.

Great holydays!!!

Very nice home, garden and swimming pool. Especially garden area with grill facilities and dinning area. It is great to enjoy fresh grilled meal outside, listen cicada sounds in warm September nights!!! Perfect location to explore west part of Crete island. Quite place, at the same time everything is nearby.

Small construction design failure is that exit to garden is through one bedroom (ground floor apartament). Much convenient it could be from the living room. But this didn't affect our pleasure seriously. Little bit missed private contact with host, everything was arranged remotely, but perfectly.

Very large living room and decent size bedrooms. The pool and other exterior spaces (like tables, BBQ, sunbeds etc.) were more than we expected from such a small property. If you rent a car then the location is a good one for most of the attractions on the western side of the island. There is a beach very close to the property. Very peaceful. We were very happy with what we found. Will probably stay here again when we'll be visiting next time.

We did have some problems with the hot water but it's supposed to have been just an one off problem and the property was very supportive. Not exactly a problem but if you don't come with a car, think carefully.

New favorite place to stay in Crete

I love everything about this place and only wish I had booked it for longer! I stayed in the 3rd floor apartment and had the most wonderful views of the sea and the surrounding hills. It was nice and quiet except for the roosters crowing in the morning, the cows in the field next door mooing in the evenings, and the distant sound of the waves breaking on the shore (all of which I loved to hear!). I used to live in the village just up the road - Drapanias. I come back to Crete as often as I can, and have stayed in many hotels and apartments here. These are, by far, the very best. So spacious, clean, and well-appointed. All the basics are provided. When I come to Crete I usually start in Heraklion and work my way west, visiting friends along the way, and finishing up in Falasarna, where I spend the longest time. However, for future trips, I will change things so that I can stay at Martimi apartments for longer, because they are my new favorite place to stay in Crete.

Super clean, Superb facilites & location, Peaceful - Perfect for families A++

As a guitarist, I was performing at the Stone Theatre which is just 10 mins drive away and found the apartment perfect for our brief one night stay. Although access to the apt is from 3pm, which is standard, We were able to enjoy the pool for an hour before we settled ourselves in. The apt is spacious and super clean with all the facilities one would need for a short or long stay with great WiFi connection. The pool was again super clean and the apt location is in a safe, quiet & peaceful area with sea views and the beach is just a short 10 min walk away or 3 min drive. It was perfect for our needs and if you have children, there's a mini football grass pitch with goals and 2 table tennis tables - How cool is that? I would highly rec to others and would certainly stay again. A++++

That we did'nt stay for longer to enjoy the apartment, its facilities and the area more.. But such is the life of a musician! Rock & Roll !

Perfect stay

Good location for trips to beautiful beaches around. Very spacious and clean. Very silent place with great views. Very close (150 m) to the beach (free beds, clean water) and to a taverna (Mitimni camping) with very good food.

Our family had a really nice stay in Martimi.

Close to the beach (pebbles + sand), and a bar/restaurant there. Nice and quiet place, surrounded by olive and vine tree fields. Direct pool access from our ground floor apartment. BBQ corner with charcoal supply. Places to sit or run around outside. Due to change in our travel plans we asked to prolong our stay for one more night, and got it for free. If you wanna buy groceries or just look around then car is highly recommended. Caring and responsive hosts.

During couple of nights we had some mosquitos. Some days it got quite windy. Nothing you can do about it, just be prepared for that...

Martimi Apartments is situated close to the Beach in North-Western Crete, with easy access by car to the main local attractions and beaches. Good restaurants are nearby. The apartment is well-equipped and there are lots of inflatables and toys for the kids as well as a well equipped barbecue house with coal available. The kitchen came with all amenities as well as some basic spices and a coffee maker. Onions and garlic were hanging in the garden. The pool and garden are very nice.

There were quite some mosquitoes around. Some of the dishes had not been cleaned properly. Generally however, the hosts were very reactive and helpful regarding suggestions and any minor qualms we had.

Awesome place! I can reccomend it to everyone!

It was an awesome place. The place was also really quiet, no noises at all (despite the sound of the sea waves on the balcony). There was a lot of equipment like water toys, balls, cutlery,corcksrew etc. The host offered us some ameninies by himself, without asking about anything. Fields and crops around, goats eating the grass, grapes growing just in front of the house, garden and the swimming pool - nothing more is needed for the kids. The nearest, not crowded beach is just few steps from the place, no big hotels around. Also all western Crete biggest attractions are really close from here! I cannot imagine any better place for a family with small children (mine are two and three and a half and they loved it there!)

We couldn't find any shop within the walking distance to the place.
