Good place for family

Nice place for a family. Has living room with kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Spacious living room and parking space. Nice view of river just next to the property. Quite area for a nice long stay.

Gorgeous place

Perfectly equipped little chalet. Exceptionally clean. I have never stayed anywhere cleaner. Gorgeous location and so peaceful. Very comfortable bed. Good facilities only a short stroll away. Highly recommend it 👌

Nice place in lochness as a based

Host Sarah is very friendly, property is super clean and with full facilities for simple cooking, laundry., small deck to chill outside. Location is central and lotsa woodland nearby for walks

Not host fault, but there is an apartment upstairs. The occupants on top made a lot of noise and we can hear their foot steps starting early morning and nights.

Breathtaking sights, serene vibes, unforgettable experience!!

‘The Wee Thistle’ was a lovely little hideaway that was ideal for location in terms of still being off the beaten track, but was close to where we wanted to go. One of which, Urquhart Castle, was walking distance. the place itself was very cosy and had everything we needed; including some lovely decking at the back of the garden for when we wanted to sit by the stream. The hosts were lovely; very organised and very passionate about where they live. Thank you Sarah and Ian for your hospitality, for making us feel very welcome and for giving us some fantastic recommendations (‘Glen Affric’ for scenery and walks, ‘Fiddlers’ for fantastic food) and that made our stay that extra special! A great way to end my 40th birthday month! Definitely recommend and we’re already looking into our next visit!

Our only regret, was that we couldn’t stay longer!

Good location

Well equipped and in a good location. Short walk to The Loch Ness in serving excellent food.

Very dark bathroom. The mirror was no use for shaving as way too dark. Mould in shower needs attention. Sink tap needs attention. If you turn on fully the water misses the sink and hits the wall opposite!

Lovely stay

Great location, the host was really nice and welcoming. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen well equipped

The host had another apartment rented upstairs and they were very noisy. Of course, that wasn’t her fault. We had to scream at 1am to make them stop the noise. You could even hear the steps when they’re walking, so if there is someone upstairs, you’ll definitely feel that you’re not alone 😂. Other than that, everything was lovely and we had a wonderful time

Very low ceiling height. Not usable if you’re over 1,9 m. A letlevende tiny in space Kitchen not very well equipped. Eg. only 2 sets of glasses and no lidt for the pots. Refrigerator hard to access

Wee Thistle

The hosts were so friendly and came and introduced themselves to us and gave us info on best things to do in the area. Key was to be left in the door on departure but they came to see us before we left which was a lovely thing to do. Accommodation was very quirky was I think a garage converted into one bedroom. apartment finished to a very high standard loved it.

Couples break

The location was perfect! Not far from local attractions. Plenty of beautiful places to go walking. The apartment was cosy and had all the things you need when self catering. There is a lovely seating area at the end of the drive, right next to a river. Perfect for eating outside or reading a book. Sarah was an excellent host, welcoming,friendly and knowledgeable.

You can hear the tv and people talking in the flat above. Floorboards creek with movement. A small bin in the bathroom would be useful.

Great place for two.

Everything you need in a little apartment for 2. Having a washing machine is a real luxury. Very relaxing sitting by the river. Great location to base yourself for the area.

Lovely little place

We had a lovely stay. It’s tiny, but good for a couple. The bed is comfortable and the shower is really nice. The hosts were very nice and it’s in a great location.

There was a problem with the pipes during our stay which was causing a lot of banging noise whenever the heating was on. They did apologise for this and said they’re working on fixing it but the noise woke us up a few times and I wouldn’t recommend staying here until it is fixed.

We had a great stay!

The Wee Thistle is a cosy little flat, everything was very clean and the deck near the river is just perfect for yoga. The owners live on site and are extremely nice and friendly.

The ceilings are kind of low. If you are over say 1,83 m tall you should probably consider staying somewhere else. You can hear the people in the apartment above (footsteps/TV).

The accomodation is very cozy, have everything you could possibly need during your stay. Beautiful outside area and very good location. Close to Drumnadrochit town centre - walking distance (about 10-15 minutes walk). Sarah was unbelievably helpful throughout ! Highly recommend to stay here. It is a retreat in a very peaceful environment. Place to slow down.

Wonderful peaceful location. Nice strolls into neighbourhood and village. Much thought given to accomodation - including a quiet decking area overlooking a small stream/river. Washing machine was a bonus.

The Wee Thistle is a Wee Gem!!

The accommodation was superb, set in a beautiful location and finished to a high standard. Just perfect for a couple. A cosy comfortable place to stay with an awesome shower and a large comfy bed. The owners were lovely, very friendly and knowledgeable about things to do in the area. Would definitely recommend.
